How is that a bad thing? The current group admitted they could not even spend the funds to be top 4 in Ligue 1. They invested like 10 million total over the last 4 Summers. At least now FCGB have some chance of Champions League in the future.

I just remember the Colony capital era for us, they milked the club slowly but surely until we ended right in the middle of a relegation battle. This fund promising "80" millions sounds pretty bad, 80M over 3 years don't make you compete for the CL, if they had a decent team already they'd still be a dog to clinch a CL spot with that.

I'm just expecting them to milk the formation center for all it has and the stadium exploitation, the TV rights go up significantly next season so they'll gobble that too.

I'm willing to bet they'll be closer to relegation than CL for each of their next 3years

You could be right. From what I read, it isn't certain what the 80M is even for. It might be for investment into infrastructure and not necessarily indicative of the transfer budget. McCourt has seemingly been positive for Marseille, but it could be another Colony Capital. I guess I would rather roll the dice and take my chances with a new ownership group rather than the status quo (assured mediocrity), but that could easily end in disaster.
