The first bundesliga fixtures have been set, so time for a new thread. Let's get to the main leagues:

La Liga:

Despite losing Neymar to the Fr0g oilbucks, Barca did what they do and cruised to another La Liga title, wrapping it up before Christmas. The literal GÖAT ÖAT (pictured on the left) scored the most, assisted the most and was generally so dominant that his wannabe competitor CR7 fled the league with his tail between his legs. Now Barca will have to adjust to life without Iniesta, Paulinho completed his money laundering transfer back to China, and Messi/Suarez are a year older. Still, they remain the favourites. Last year, CL spots went to Atletico, Real and Valencia (welcome back!). Down went La Coruna, Las Palmas and Malaga, in their place we'll welcome Rayo, Huesca and Valladolid.

Title odds:

Barca 1.72
Real 2.37
Atletico 15.00

Bundesliga

Spoiler:

Bayern had a bit of a scare early in the 17/18 season, as Dortmund got off to a flying start, won their first seven games and was declared the title favourite by many, but the longest Bayern's title odds ever got was 1.4 in mid october. Ancelotti got got, Heynckes righted the ship and Dortmund duly crashed and burned, making a coaching change of their own from Bosz to the himself freshly fired Stöger. It didn't help much, but BVB somehow barely got themselves a CL spot. Now, noted xG overperformer Lucien Favre takes the job, and wether he'll get the team back into championship form or resign in september is anyone's guess. The other CL qualifiers are Schalke and Hoffenheim, while Leverkusen, probably the best non-bayern footballing team of last season, somehow missed out. Hamburg finally got relegated, stopping the clock,

down with them go 1. Effzeh LÖLn, to be replaced by Nürnberg and Düsseldorf.

title odds:

Bayern 1.14
Dortmund 8.00
Leipzig 34.00
Schalke 34.00

Seria A

The most exciting and close league campaign in Europe's big leagues happened in LÖL Italy, as Napoli made a title challenge not seen since Maradona. In the end though, Juve captured their seventh straight Scudetto. Maybe with their Ronaldo signing now they'll focus more on the Champions League, but they'll still be massive favourites in the league. It was a good year for italian football, as Roma knocked Barca out of the CL in memorable fashion and Inter will make their CL comeback next season. Crotone, Hellas Verona and Benevento went down, Frosinone, Empoli and Parma will replace them.

Title odds:

Juve 1.57
Napoli 8.00
Roma 11.00
Inter 11.00
Milan 21.00

Ligue 1

P$G spent a trillion bucks last summer on the likes of Neymar and Mbappé, and thus won the league easily, nothing to see here. It sure seems like next season will be the same story. Troyes and Metz will be replaced by Nimes et Stade Reims.

Title odds

PSG 1.12
Monaco 13.00
Lyon 13.00
Marseille 13.00

Other leagues

In the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven beat Ajax to the title. In other big club news, Twente got relegated for the first time in 34 years.

Porto won the league in Portugal, but the main story were third place Sporting, whose club president apparently called hired goons to beat up players at the training ground. It seems quite chaotic, maybe portugese pösters can shed a light.

I Lolscotland, Celtic won the league. Exciting times.

Turkey had probably the most exciting title race outside of Italy last season, with four teams having a real shot right to the end. Galatasaray ended up winning the lot, three points ahead of Fenerbache and Basaksehir.

That's all from me. Let's euro football together!

Not really, he basically served as RB Leipzig's company mascot the last two years. Did Brøndby sign him or..?

zorniger loves him and the plan is he's the last piece of a very strong, by danish standards, brøndby midfield. he has looked a little underwhelming in the friendlies so far, but the danish league is **** and he has a decent number of bundesliga games, so hopefully it'll still be good

first league game is on monday and im looking more forward to that than the world cup final

Of all the non-top 4 leagues itw the Eredivise is the one I think I'd enjoy mindlessly watching. Seems reasonably competitive (relative to the non-EPL big dog leagues) and fairly entertaining due to goals and lack of defense. We have a channel here that show random Turkish league games, an even more random channel that shows random Belgian league games, and an lol non-HD channel that shows random Portuguese league games. Free the Eredivise! At least when Ajax, PSV, and Feyenord play each other.

Madrid still have Modric/Kroos/Casemiro with Marcelo coming up. They just need to find a striker and lock Isco in a box.

Barca + Bayern + Juve + Celtic + PSG

Will be interesting to see how Stevie G gets on at Rangers. Looking forward to that.

Ronaldo at Juve will be fun, wonder if RITS will be supporting them?

No, I'll take a page from your book. I'll watch every move Ronaldo makes and eagerly wait for him to fail just to make me feel better that he chose a different team. I will show my saltiness and jealousy year after year. I will make sure to somehow include "Messi > Ronaldo" in every post I make about him.
