Barca don't appear to be winning a league every two to three years. Were you impressed when Barca won the Champions League three times in six years?

It's 2018 and Barcelona got KOed by Roma, if that happened to RM, I don't think I'd be able to write "Champions League" for at least a few years, let alone setting prefered timelines to make me a good case when it comes to trophies, or talking about a rival.

Seriously, all jokes aside, they got KOed by Roma. Please don't talk about Champions League anymore. Maybe it's time for them to pull an Atletico and wander around the Europe League for a while.

i think if i were real madrid fan i would personally be disappointed about only winning 2 league titles in 10 years, especially when that 10 years coincides fairly neatly with the tenure of the 2nd best player around (and possibly of all times)

i would expect to win maybe 5. 4 at a minimum

madrid may have the best squad itw, but they have no goat.

it's not reasonable to expect madrid to win competitions, where they have to regularly face the goat.
as evidenced yesterday, they can't stop him even when barca are playing a man down.

cl is different. there they can actually dodge their kryptonite.

Zeestein and cashy could do the same thing at one of their kickabouts goes without saying, of course.

Not sure if Guti is ready for the big stage yet.

Imagine Guti coaching Isco.

Time to do some auto-langering:

I pösted the following on 19th of October 2012 in relation to some glue sniffing scotsman (and others) telling me that the great Fr0g Ribéry would soon be playing for ReLÖL Madrid if ReLÖL Madrid would offer some stupidly low price (I think it was LÖL 100M).

You are right, though, everyone does have their price. It's just that in Bayern this price is a wee bit higher than elsewhere. I'd say we'd start thinking about maybe letting him go if someone is willing to shell out 150M or more for him.

Mark my words: Franck Ribéry will end his career in München, unless he goes to some Arab or Chinese club when he's 36 or whatever.

nah, as a Real Madrid fan I am glad we didn't win 2 leagues more, so that can be compensated by CR7 winning all these CL trophies, a part of the Ballon d'Ors gifted to Messi and the cherry on top, the Euros with Portugal while being the 8th favorite team or something. Messi can't do that, he can't win the World Cup with Argentina, not even that little Copa America, he's not good enough. He can have those 2-3 league titles more, no big deal. We have to give some so we can get all this European glory against the big boys.

If RM wins the CL this year, as in 4 CL titles in the last 5 years, I hope Barca wins 3 more leagues in a row if we can win another CL, making it 5 CL titles in 6 years, I don't mind. This is Messi in a competition without the likes of Leganes and Depor. He's like Bale, maybe he should've won one 1 CL, but the rest is just straight up being carried by others.

all im trying to say is that if i were a real madrid fan i would be disappointed with only winning 2 leagues in the last 10 years, because its a very poor return indeed for the amount of money and talent the team has had over that time

well, it's a good thing you aren't. we'll try to find comfort in all these CL titles we've already won, maybe we get another one in a few weeks, who knows. it would be unprecedented, though. I know it's not the same as Barcelona winning all these Copa del Rey titles, but what can you do?

I love how rits loves that Portugal won the euros without Ronaldo in the final and acts like it was solely him that won it for them.

if i were a napoli fan or an atletico fan i think i'd be absolutely delighted with 2 titles in 10 years, but not as a real madrid fan. i'd think 2 was unacceptably low

especially since barca have won 7 in that time
