I've mentioned this numerous times before but at an absolute minimum we should be making offers to players like Alaba to force Bayern into paying top rate salaries since the current market (at least before Covid) had more $$ than talent.

If Bayern won't pay him more than €15m then we should be giving him €20m no questions asked.

I don't think the chances of us signing him are likely but it's incredibly annoying to watch Bayern sign world class players for small salarries (relatively speaking) becasue club execs seem to just shrug and say "well he's never gonna leave Bayern so no point"

Because the club is owned by an American who thinks Arsenal exists for him to print massive $$ every year and has no plans to invest the type of money it will take to be genuinely competitive with elite sides in europe.

As per Orny Willian deal is imminent. We are apparently willing to give him a straight up 3 year deal.

Regarding the Sancho transfer, he says that there are issues in both the personal terms and the fee between clubs. I was under the impression that it is almost a done deal so that came as a surprise.
