Great to see Lampard getting Havertz while we **** around with Sancho. Does Woodward realise his entire history in the transfer market is to try and haggle until the last minute then just pay what the club wanted in the first place?

I think more than a few of us can add to the names Bandit gave. Suarez has been extremely good for Barca, but he'll never have a statue of him in front of the Nou Camp like Messi will or Kubala does.

top 2 is fine. ronaldo was better at his peak but he was only there for a season (i would take suarez over post-knee injury ronaldo too if we're talking the entire career)

suarez has been better than eto'o, romario and david villa (david villa was honestly a little disappointing at barca)

then we can debate whether messi and kubala counts as #9s but that doesnt seem like that great a way to use our time

Romario was an absolute legend and I have him as better than Suarez at his peak. Unfortunately he only played 1 season for a club with a worldwide audience so he gets criminally underrated.

Suarez is still one of the best 9's in the world and I'd def keep him for a couple more seasons for what he brings to the table alone but everyone knows him and Messi are bff's so you're giving Leo one more big reason to leave too.

Romario is possibly the best finisher of all time. He was notoriously difficult to handle which is why he moved round so often but still the GOAT anyway.

Remember growing up seeing him just dribble the ball into the net to score and thinking how amateurish the top level could appear compared to my Saturday league.

Later on almost never saw that and grew an appreciation for how special he must have been to be able to score like that.
