Incredible.
I half-admire Woodys relentless efforts.

I admire BvB for still listening to him, you’d be telling him to **** off.

Imagine how annoying and frustrating it must be to be them in this situation. An asset they don’t want to sell, will only sell if the right offer comes in and this **** keeps low balling when you’ve repeatedly told him the lowest price you’re willing to accept.

They’ve even got to the stage where they’ve said, right we aren’t selling anymore. That was over a month ago and he’s still at it.

This is the transfer we all want so bad but Knobwood has to make a balls up of it like usual. Funny thing is we either lowball or panic and completely overpay for players. Just pay the ****ing 120 mil and get on with it.

I'm not defending Woody here, but this does seem to be a catch 22. United have to get out of the funk of massively overpaying and the only way they can do that is occasionally walk away from the deal when the selling club are asking for a lot. I guess on that view, United repeatedly coming back and offering low amounts is more for show than anything else.

It really reminds me of the transfer 'policy' we did a couple of years ago. Send in offers that we knew where not going to be accepted. Still communicate to fans that we tried.

Although I do understand that in this particularly unusual climate throwing 'lowballs' might be a pretty good strategy. Clubs will face some uncertainty and will need to listen to offers if they want to feel comfortable and not face financial issues down the road.

Dortmund may not be the best party to do that with as they are pretty stellar in said department.

I agree. Furthermore, in the current environment overpaying is absurd. Swiss Ramble reported that Utd are expected to lose £141m in matchday revenue if the gates remain closed for the rest of this season, and there is no guarantee the gates will be opened for the 2021/22 season.

I mean, at this point, he's just doing this to try and pacify the fanbase right? It came out yesterday or the day before that they are going to lose up to 150m from the pandemic and now this. He's just trying to save face.

Agree with most it’s purely just for show to say we tried but we just couldn’t quite land our targets without over paying for them.

As bandit said this is the time because next summer, Madrid will go there’s €125m you want.

I'm all for Madrid giving Dortmund 125m for Sancho so we can give PSG 90m for Mbappe.

Agreeing to said comparison might be evenly bad.
One played the majority of his minutes in France, the other in Italy/Spain/England. There were clear signs that Morata had/was quality, to deny otherwise is just revisionism

Chelsea want to loan Rudiger.

no words.

Frank out.

That said, saying he is our best CB is faint praise indeed.

if Spurs somehow get Dias and Skriniar done that is the most ridiculous transfer window for us in recent memory.

Still don't think that we'll do much but hit it long to Bale but you never know.

Price tag is obviously the difference. Everyone would be calling Laca a bum at 70m or if he'd played at Juve/Chelsea/Real/Atleti instead of OL and Arsenal

Loan would be perfect.

DiMaria aside, every player we got from PL was overrated trash.

I've very publicly wanted Aouar way before he was ever linked to us, so fair to say if we actually pull this off I will go absolutely batshit insane.

Laca is an above-average finisher and an extremely below average everything else. Slow, weak, can't dribble. Surprised he doesn't infuriate you as much as he does me.

Woody is a special dude. United really should have decided if they wanted to play the "we're poor woe is us" card (trying to get Porto to lower the asking price of Telles from 20m to 12m lol) before going all-in on the most prized young asset in the world.

Imo Zouma looked pretty good at the end of last season, but I thought as well that Rudiger is still probably the best CB at the club (pending judgement on how 36 year old Thiago Silva holds up in the Prem).

Tomori is very highly rated, right...maybe Frank thinks it's time for him to step into a starting role?

Laca is a strong finisher when he actually shoots, and he does not shoot anywhere near the frequency he should considering the positions he gets into with the ball. It's maddening

Seems Ruben dias is only a few days away from joining city. Really weird. Yesterday they were heavily linked with kounde. Seems the latter is preferred to the former but they desperately need size.

Rudiger is a known known. Other players might be X if Y.

When your defence is as shite as ours you role with your known knowns whenever possible.
