In a situation where the player holds all the leverage of either sell me to X or I'm signing with them in January and running out my contract, being left with the combination of going to Pool or United is a weird one. Either Thiago is a weird dude or one of those clubs is already drawing dead on him.

Dutch media is saying that Wijnaldum wants a new contract with Liverpool and I think they'd go for Thiago only if Gini left since they're nittier than most. Then again it's a lock that Barca is willing to pay him something ridiculous that Pool would never go for so idk.

it's not about people's opinion on him, these are his stats. this is how his last 2 years at RM look like. it's not like the youngsters replacing him have better stats, but at least they bring something to the table while they gain experience. I saw a guy on the Chelsea subreddit comparing Kovacic to David Silva based on, among other cherry picked stats, "number of headed clearances".

I'm having doubts about this tbh, I don't think 4 months will be enough. The guy has been been injured 23 times while playing on avg. 26 games/season for RM. And he's 31 now lol. Can't believe Florentino will pull this off.

Wonder if Wijnaldum stays now.

I like the Under move by Leicester. They're the only good club without a top winger and he has top potential even if I think he had a down year last season.
