Bump for Westhead one on in an hour - this is new, right? I don't recall hearing about it, but I bet it will be good. He got run out of LOL but has a pretty interesting story since then with his philosophy and stops in various leagues.

There is one on now that just started...on rugby? Apartheid? What the hell is this? Another one I haven't heard of.

Guru of Go is one of my favs. The whole story of what they did, with Kimble and Gethers was pretty emotional as well.

the rugby one looks like the abridged version of Invictus.

I liked this one. I'm pretty sure most will shy away from comments do to it's political and polarizing subject matter but I thought it was well done. It probably could've been 90 or 120 minutes and still would've been just as good. I saw the movie too and the documentary was definitely more gritty. The movie was more like "yeah there was this thing called apartheid, whites and blacks didn't get along, on to the world cup." One thing that was good to see about the movie is that it was very authentic and accurate with the way events occured because the actual real life footage in the doc and the respective movie moments were pretty much identical.

yeah I think The 16th Man was pretty good. I think watching that and then seeing Invictus would probably give you a great overview of the whole incident.

It was shorter than invictus but I think set the scene of the social unrest way more than invictus did. I think it did a better job of telling the whole story in an hour than invictus did in an hour 30-45 whatever it was.

THE RAIIIDDAAHHHHS. At first I was like oh cool I'll actually watch this, but then I remembered wait **** the Raiders. Outside of wearing the script Raiders hat (below) it has never made any sense that LA fans adopted a team that was here for like 15 years, stole money from the City of Industry (Al Davis got them to raise millions and then he took it and ran), and then went back to Oakland, of all places. So basically this is going to be an entire documentary about NWA wearing Raiders hats.

so what the hell is the point of this one? NWA hits the scene with gangster rap music, wears some Raiders hats, Snoop and Cube toss the football around, and that's it?

I think Al Davis is literally decomposing on camera, this is scarier than 90% of horror films.

So the moral is (1) the Raiders owe their merchandise sales to gangsta rap and NWA and (2) Al Davis is even more psychologically damaged than you think. So much so that he does not seem to realize, let alone care that he looks like the walking dead.
