I'm still annoyed that they missed one of Bo's craziest moments in his 30 for 30. They did a quick visual of a headline about him hitting 3 homers but that was it. Wondering if they talked about it in the Deion doc, because he was the batter.
Bo hit 3 homers in his first 3 ABs. The third was a wrist flick that went out of the short porch in right in Yankee stadium. I was watching live and thinking if anyone on earth can have a 5-homer game - it's Bo. I was so stoked to see what he would do.
Edit, found this one too:
Bottom of the 5th or 6th I think - Deion hits a sinking liner that no one on earth except Bo could even try to make a play on. Bo dives for it, misses, and it goes to the wall. Deion rounds the bases and ends up missing the bag while Bob Boone drops the ball. Boone tries to collect the ball, while Deion dives over him like a cat and touches home plate. It's probably the most exciting play I've ever seen - in a vacuum - not counting for playoffs, etc.
Bo was injured on the play and couldn't go back out to try to get 4 or 5 homers. Such a deflating microcosm of his career.
Edit: ok that wasn't hard to find. (Looks like the ball sailed past Boone and someone backed him up.)
bo jackson hit 3 home runs off of andy hawkins in that game.
3 starts prior hawkins pitched a no hitter and lost 4-0.
2 starts prior he took a shutout into the 12th inning and ended up getting the loss.
Watching the Deion 30 for 30 now. I'm soooooo glad they covered the crazy Bo 3-homer-in-3-ab day that ended with Bo's injury on Deion's inside the park home run. Maybe the most exciting regular season play I've ever seen. And so frustrating because I really felt like Bo was going to hit 4 or 5 that day.
I was pissed the Bo 30 for 30 didn't cover it and I finally feel like I have some closure now.
Edit: **** YOU SO BAD TIM McCARVER!!!! God what a stupid douche.
Edit edit: Everyone hates on Chris Bermann but I love the dude. And he had this one right.
not a 30 for 30, but it's the only show in town rn, so might as well just use this thread i guess

I'm loving Last Dance so far. I watched it on the exercise bike yesterday and the time just flew by. Young Jordan highlights are so fun. It reminded me of the Football Life on LT when after like 5 minutes of the first practice everyone knew he was the best player on the field.
I totally forgot about the whole "definitely Phil's last year thing". Lol Jerry Krause. Get over it dude. Is there any other precedent in sports for a GM basically announcing he was kicking out a dynasty-winning coach while the team was still winning championships like that? I can't think of one.
