09-02-2008 , 07:17 AM

too stunned to talk about city.

Apparantly all betting on first premier league manager to go just got suspended - It looks like Keegan walked again

Nah, it was just sad. He obviously got so wound up about a discussion on an internet board that he had to trawl through months of my posts on the Wanderer to try to make a point, and in the end failed even to do that. Pretty disturbed individual if you ask me.

aldershot ftw
This is an Interesting point Ledders. At what point are they no longer "your" team.

I dont know how much I'll recognise mine come january 31.

i fear for the Likes of Johnson, Sturridge, Ched Evans, Onouha, Etuhu, Ireland and that other kid in the reserves who's been scoring all the goals.

Joe Hart aswell.

They're our boys. From the youth team. I dont know what i think about all this crap yet.

One Blue said to me today : " we'll find a way to **** this up, just you watch"

City fans are like that though (in the main). More happy when we're ****

What do you make of it D?

I imagine our reserves will be worth watching at a recession busting £5 in.

I genuinely think SWP just didn't fit in at Chelsea, it didn't help that the signing was sanctioned by Abramovich so Mourinho didn't necessarily want him there. Difficult to flourish in those circumstances but I'm not going back into that debate again!
We dont swap avatars, we choose one for the loser that they must keep for 1 month.

Keegan gone, lulz.
09-02-2008 , 08:57 AM
Seriously anyone who stops supporting their team because they are bought out and the starts splashing the cash was never a supporter in the first place.

I support the Blue Brazil, whatever happens. Yea I may have cooler moments e.g. last season when AG was in charge, but still I am blue through and through and that is what being a supporter is all about. Yea there are moments when the passion cools ala sacking of the special one and the appointment of the undertaker, but it is just a cooling never never never a cessation.

Also worries about hypocrisy are 100% standard. I think every Chelsea fan was a hypocrite about this issue, but the psychic pain is eased when you win your first title in 50 years.

There are elements of the $$$$ that bother me, but that is more along that lines that we seem to do alot of **** business ala 30M for Sheva and taking a circa 12M loss over SWP.

If we are going to be spending the $$$$$ lets get it right, yea I know we have not done a Leeds, but for the $$$$$$ we have spent we could have missed out on some turkies and brought in some real exciting prospects.

Chelsea easily has the best strength in depth of any squad, but the starting 11 are only slightly ahead of the other top 2 (well ahead of pool).

I dont want to win the title because of resilience to injuries, but because we played the best football with our best players.

Two new Belgian players in the premier league this season!
Kompany @ ... Manchester City ldo (€ 8 mil)
and Fellaini @ Everton (€ 18 mil)

I love city's squad for the season tbh, they might end up better than liverpool.

This is a sad day for Newcastle United. It started with the board having control of contracts which Kevin didn't like but he tolerated, then we had James Milner who was earning nowhere near what he deserved which was the biggest part of his decision to hand in his transfer request, then we got a £12 million offer from Villa and it was decided allround it was right for him to leave, though losing a hard working player with huge potential is less than ideal. Then, i was told a left back and a right winger were top priority and i felt we found excellent players to fill these positions, too the best of my knowledge we didn't even make offers for these players, this is only speculation on my part but i guess Keegan has left due to lack of control, if indeed he has left, just a horrible position for the club to be in

It still says "BBC Radio 5 Live understands". As far as i am aware, the club hasn't made an official statement

I'm not rehashing (y)our discussion of last week; but this is the only point I was making in regards to Chelsea - that some of the spending did not pan out ... in fact I used the term "reckless" at times.

I am sure you guys can chalk those up to R.A. still being new at the game and perhaps a bit overexcited over the prospects of rapid gains. It seems that the new ownership at City are prepared to take it much further than that.

Yeah, that's it.

F.S. has another losing bout with the truth.

BTW. The post is still there in last year's CL thread.

I feel sorry for KK as he's a good bloke but he should never have gone back in the first place, the game has moved on since his time. If it's true about him being undermined that's harsh on Kev though, if I were a Newcastle fan I'd probably be praying that someone buys Ashley out as it seems top-down changes are needed to sort the club out. Possibly the worst day of the season for the manager to leave as well..

I'm happy obv that we'll have so much extra money but I was already fairly optimistic as soon as SWP re-signed. I don't think too much needs doing to the team to break the top 6, we could've done it last year but the post-Christmas slump and off-pitch issues did us in the end. At the end of the day though we've still got to prove it on the pitch and I like the way Hughes has got the team playing so far. Top 4 will be a reach this season.

Robinho - I've watched him play less than 10 times so don'tknow much about him other than he's obviously very talented. Will be interesting to see how he does in England as he's a bit of a small lad (see Castillo last year). I hope that we don't just sign 'star' players for the sake of it and that Hughes doesn't **** it under the pressure and make us play boring footy. Robinho, Jo, Elano, SWP and Petrov in the same team would be pretty ****ing sexy!
