Three points out of 7th, nice.

Btw Im still ahead on the prop bet, if you look at the table when we first made the bet and you look at it now its kinda brutal, I would have never thought I would have Newcastle and Sunderland on my side.

Boro 22
West Brom 22

The teams that are under the line mean that they have the same or less points than games played, if by the end of the season 3 or more teams are under that line I win.
Tottenham doesnt count because they have a better goal difference than -5,5.

bump.

Nice goal by Pav today. I hope we don't sell him in the summer, once he gets some time to rest and a season under his belt I think he can make an impact next season. Bent needs to be sold.
04-11-2009 , 02:32 PM
The table now:

Pompey 34 ( but with a game in hand....but the game in hand is against manu)
Hull City 34
Blackburn 34
-----------------------------------------------
Sunderland 32
Newcastle 30
Boro 30
West Brom 25
04-11-2009 , 02:33 PM
btw the positive from today is that I think Liverpool pulled 2 more goals on GD against manu.
04-11-2009 , 02:54 PM
Well so much for my rest of the big 4 all lose accumulator

I had a feeling and the Pool and ManU fans in the office were all so depressed about their chances this week that I figured it was worth a go.

Villa Everton draw with lots of injuries plz.

Yeah it was a nice goal. Hiddink rates him very highly and has advised Chelsea to try to buy him, its weird that Redknapp doesn't believe in him more. ( Btw i always forget that Spurs have Defoe, lol bad resigning for this season).

But for ~15m or so that both our clubs paid, i think we got the better Russian.

Um he is hurt.
04-11-2009 , 03:21 PM
Yeah.. i know... thats why it turned out to be a bad resigning for this season. (Not that they could've known before hand...)
04-11-2009 , 03:24 PM
Calling a signing "lol bad" because a guy broke his foot and missed two months is ******ed.

Not for my money, I'm not going to look up when in the season some of them left but Leeds United started the 03-04 seasons with the following

Paul Robinson
Scott Carson
Gary Kelly
Ian Harte
Lucas Radebe
Domanic Matteo
Didier Domi
Eirik BaKke
Nicky Barmby
David Batty
Seth Johnson
James Milner
Jermain Pennant
Jason Wilcox
Michael Bridges
Alan Smith
Mark Viduka

yea, I'm not liking my side of the bet at all right now. Newcastle are going to have a very hard time getting to 39 pts with their form

Todays Macheda goal wasn't anything to talk about. it just bounced off him. I thought it was an OG at first.

don't talk about the new solskjaer like that
04-11-2009 , 07:38 PM
I'm not so sure if he meant it or not...

You can see in the replay that when the ball is played in he lifts his left leg and moves it towards the ball, whether he meant to do it or not is still up for debate.

On MoTD ML said that after seeing it 37 times he thinks he meant it because of said reason above.

As for my coupon, Pompy bummed it up.

He was talking about what was different from last season to this one. The officiating hasn't changed.

Speaking of poor officiating, Arsenal should have been down to 10 men for the entire second half when Gibbs pulled down Valencia. He was clearly the last man back and yet somehow only managed to get a yellow.

The best result for Arsenal would be a draw, but a 7 point cushion with 6 to play would be pretty commanding. Arsenal have three matches against the Big 4 compared to one for Everton and zero for Aston Villa, but their lead as well as current form make them heavy favorites to take the final CL spot. It would be really shocking at this point if they dropped to fifth.

It's amazing how things have turned around so dramatically in just a few weeks.

Everton will finish 5th now, Villa fans will be very disappointed by the end of the season but they did punch above their weight for a good bit of the season shame they didn't have the squad to keep up the chase.

MO has done a brilliant job.

Great Everton goal. Good passing all over AV there. Great finish as well.

DM for manager of the season?

*edit*

What a goal.... 2 great goals in 2 minutes.
04-12-2009 , 10:22 AM
****ing intense match!
04-12-2009 , 10:30 AM
wow, 3-3 now! Think I spoke to soon.

Jo was through on goal there as well.
