Now this is funny.

Stoke 14/1 to win a home game, i'll have a bit of that especially with mugs like Neville and O'Shea in defence.

Aye noticed that, Da Silva seemed to be in favour over Neville. Fergie over-confident or the young lad just been dropped?

Anyway, off to the Stealerbowl.

Jesus we were awful today. With Evra and Rafael gone there was no width and no overlapping runs at all, just a bunch of faffing around in the middle of the pitch which played right into Stoke's strengths. Apart from Vidic the back four was very shaky and in the end I think we were lucky to get the three points.

Only positive for me was that Scholes was back and played alright.

I bit too negative I think. Yes we didn't play well but around this period when there are loads of games, lots of squad rotation and difficult conditions (cold, bad sun, slightly dodgy pitch today for example)the only thing that matters is the results. Fergie is an expert at this part of the season particually in picking a team that is just good enough to get a win while resting the maximum number of players possible.

To me things just look better and better for United. Three home games in a row coming up and we're going to be anywhere from level to 3 points back coming into the new year. We are traditionally strong during the run in and this year should be even better given our front loaded schedule.

Getting the win was more important than the performance imo, too many points dropped on the road lately.

Villa dominating Arsenal 0-1.
12-26-2008 , 01:58 PM
haha

we changed our style to "liverpool"

play horrible, win anyway?
12-26-2008 , 02:07 PM
First half:

Villa off the woodwork thrice, Sagna with a clear off the line, Gallas (I think) with a key block on a Sidwell chance. One lucky break, one goal chance, 1-0 Gooners.

Arsenal runnin goot...

Heh ok there were few of those. I recall Pool dominating away vs Villa though, and result was 0-0.
12-26-2008 , 02:39 PM
That was a stupid reckless tackle..
12-26-2008 , 02:40 PM
Liverpool totally dominated Bolton today, with Keane in fine form indeed.
12-26-2008 , 02:40 PM
Gallas is smart imo

wtf was Ablongahor thinking there? If he makes any contact with Diaby it's a straight red
