2024-2025 EPL Preview

Man City have set another record with 115 charges of financial shenanigans and also managed to win a 4th PL title in a row becoming the first team to do so narrowly beating out arsenal who took it to the last day this year. They accomplished this by rattling off an absurd 33 games unbeaten in all competitions making it 6 titles in 7 years for the Citizens.

Some pictures from the aftermath:

Golden boot winner:
Erling Haaland

Golden Glove:
David Raya

Player of the Season:
Phil Foden

PFA Young Player of the Season:
Cole Palmer

Season Preview:
Man City and Arsenal have distanced themselves as the clear favorites for the title. With Arsenal closing the gap and beating Man City on xG could this be the year that they get over the line? There are some large error bars on Liverpool with klopp retiring and Salah getting older, will they be able to insert themselves in the title race again like they did last year?

For top 4/5 can Aston Villa repeat last years feat thanks to the normal culprits being completely incompetent or will one of Chelsea/United get their **** together finally (hopefully not)? Spurs went full Spurs throwing the match vs City to stop arsenal from winning the title while costing themselves top 4 in the process, will they be in the race again despite doing no business at all in the summer to address squad needs?

The relegation fight as usual has the 3 promoted teams as favorites to go back down, but with PSR looming in the background could we see a surprise team relegated?

Thanks for the OP ducksauce.

Fully in now. Betting markets for the Prem this year are quite crazy. Nobody sure whats gonna happen to City. Favourites for the title but yet also only 16/1 to be relegated. Cleary a points deduction for Leicester is being priced in to the relegation markets as well.

Spurs putting up some divisive views as well. Loads of 33/1 available on them somehow winning the title from all the soft books but the exchange markets putting them at 23/1. Even if City get the points deduction punishment it still would be a stretch with them just not being as good as Arsenal etc, but I had a dabble given the large price difference. I like to light money on fire.

Top goalscorer seems to be a bit of an injury bet. If Haaland stays fit he pisses it but theres already been reports of "slight knocks" in pre season.

Premier League reverts its recipe to the original with extra added Southampton.

Feeling surprisingly bullish for some reason. Wonder how long it'll last.

I was so bullish on Chelsea for this season before they fired Poch. Now I've no idea what to think. In before BAIDS theorem.

Nervous that Arsenal will actually do it this year. For long periods they were the best side last season and Maldiniregen seems good. Don't know anything about Savinho but hoping he is good.

Regarding us.... I can legit see us finishing anywhere from 3rd to 8th. Gray has been given the 14 and Bergvall the 15 so it's clear Spurs think they're going to play a bunch this year at 18. We really need to add a striker.

You guys are one of those teams for me that makes me feel the premier league is “all right” when you’re in it. Southampton and great escapes are just part of what makes the prem the prem.

I saw today on IG that this will be the 18th Season Fulham have been in the premier league. Kinda blew my mind given that they didn’t come up until what, 01 or 02 iirc?

I’m not making any predictions on United just yet. I have to see what happens with transfers and I’m deeply worried at what I’m seeing. I don’t blame INEOS for walking away from the Ugarte deal, but how have they not been negotiating a backup plan that we know of?

Depends if we can get O'Reily (and we still need another striker and goalkeeper) - so not good prospects on staying up

hey ducky, do you know if there's any way for non-members to access those o/u season point totals (or are there any other sites that list them)?

I'm gonna run a confidence pool with some buddies on just the O/Us but wanted to get the most current ones. Thanks!

Will have a few shekels on Southampton if anyone fancies. Will lay your team of choice for the same amount if that helps.
