united have been okay, not particularly good, but thats still a lot better than how bad they were in the first 2 games.

the game today was annoying more than anything. arsenal played well, made a couple defensive mistakes that got punished well by united. was pretty even game and the scoreline flatters united. arsenal could of done more to turn their dangerous possessions into chances. then of course theres the obvious horseshit var call that completely goes against anything regarding consistency with what theyve called otherwise.

2-2 probably would of been a fair result based on the run of play.

partey was a huge loss for this game as i think he handles the second layer of pressing better than sambi and thats where united did their best creation, getting their midfielders in space after beating the initial forward press.

this game doesnt really do anything with updating my priors on arsenal, but id prob move united from like 7th-8th to like 6th. Still think arsenal and spurs are a not insignificant amount ahead of united/chelsea. banking the max points from the first 5 games makes this loss feel a lot less bad

LOL if United had scored that goal and it was given this post would be word for word the exact same post.

Glad to see Man Utd doing well despite starting with a minus 20 goals deficit by not playing Ronaldo

Not sure what is all the fuss about the disallowed goal. Yea in the heat of the moment outrage is warranted - it also helped us gain some momentum in the game finally. This game was not decided by the refs it was us gifting it to UNited and credit to Rashford taking his chances for the 2nd goal. I'm sure a lot of Utd fans were worried when he was running 1v1.

I'm more mad about starting like we played City/Pool. Thankfully Lego Pep agreed judging from the post game interview.

The defensive mistakes were also kind of meh. Especially keeping the all out attack mentality after equalizing. Just needed to get some cool heads and play like we have the 2nd half. Still a lot to learn.

I am deathly afraid of the coming months. We have no depth - Partey could be out for long as well as Elneny. Sambi is still finding his feet and he needs to do it quickly.

Another interesting albeit unrelated thing is that Ross Barkley just joined Nice. Not sure what they are cooking over there, but it is a really awesome city and I hope they do well just because of that.

it isn't that far-fetched seeing ARS get 6 points from their next 6 matches, especially if other teams breakdown the MUN tape and exploit ARS's MF in similar ways

6 points out of the next 6 would be a travesty

Something really has to go wrong for that how we started imo. Like we need to forget how to play football altogether. Although I have a looming suspicion that Ramsdale is going to cost us points this year. He seems way out of it.

Is Partey out long term?

And I very much doubt thus, they will be favored vs Everton and Spurs at home, and Brentford and Leeds away.

Suspect mode points output for them is closer to 10?

Yes - also Elneny too. So we are 1 Xhaka injury/red card away from something really makeshift.

Well... Lego Pep said Partey is still questionable but it was the same area injury due to which he missed half-season , so I suspect he is perma crocked

Lots of over reactions from fellow Arsenal fans last night and today.

Not sure why as for most of it I enjoyed what I saw. Stats back that up also. Saliba is still so young and was his first proper big game, only going to improve in my eyes. Probably need a bit more depth in midfield which I hope gets looked at in Jan. Hats off to United they took their chances which was the main difference. LOL Trashford being shite for 2 years only to turn up against us.

No 'ReFs R aGaNiSt Us' here. Only thing I hope for is that now our goal was chalked off this remains consistent throughout the season. Plenty of worse decisions were made over the weekend so we cannot feel too hard done by.

if you squint you could see the makings of 6 pts from 6 games:

EVE (home): 3 pts
BRE (away): 0 pts
TOT (home): 1 pt
LIV (home): 1 pt
LEE (away): 1 pt
MCI (home): 0 pts

7 or 8 pts the more likely outcome, i'll give you that

LOL I mean in theory it could be:

EVE (home): 3 pts
BRE (away): 0 pts
TOT (home): 0 pt
LIV (home): 0 pt
LEE (away): 1 pt
MCI (home): 0 pts

Or:

EVE (home): 3 pts
BRE (away): 3 pts
TOT (home): 3 pt
LIV (home): 1 pt
LEE (away): 3 pt
MCI (home): 0 pts

Or I will go a step further:

EVE (home): 0 pt
BRE (away): 0 pt
TOT (home): 0 pt
LIV (home): 0 pt
LEE (away): 0 pt
MCI (home): 0 pt

This seems pretty bad.

but im sure without the ref conspiracy and other external factors they would get 18pts out of the next 6

i know it sounds crazy to say ARS will win one of their next six but this is the EPL and it's difficult to win. ARS were flying high and MUN clipped their wings a bit. concerns in the MF and the man in front of goal are real. the squad now has their first taste of adversity of the season, let's see how they respond

I know this is referring to injury but when does his rape case go to court? Once he's formally charged (if he's not been already) do Arsenal get to keep him in the squad until he's actually found guilty? Weren't Mendy and Sigurdson immediately out of their sides the second the allegations came out?

It isn't going to court from what I understand. He can't be prosecuted under UK law in this case because reasons.

*disclaimer - might not be detailed enough/accurate.

Mendy and Sigurdsson happened in the UK. Plus they don't/didn't play for Arsenal/weren't one of the most important players on the team.

The moral of the story is that if you are a connoisseur of rape/sexual assault and also decent at football sign for us instead of minnows like City.

Or just have the commercial power of Rapenaldo. But I think signing for us might be easier.
