Not quite at Cesc peak but some absolutely world class performances where KDB has to be looking over his shoulder
That pass reminded me of when Cesc used to ping those inch perfect first touch 60 yard through balls to a sprinting Walcott. He might surpass both Cesc and Ozil’s legacy with us pretty soon.

Now that was more of a foul by Saka than the one he got booked for... oh wait

I hope they fix that next season. Definitely takes away from the viewing experience.

Genuinely might be the best performance I've seen vs Arsenal this year, don't think I'd even seen Mitoma in the few Brighton games I'd watched.

Deep down I have some doubts about Ramsdale being good enough over a full season to win the PL.

edit: true, royal…

i dont think ramsdale is a plus shot stopper and has mostly been at evens for post shot xg. his passing range and both footedness is outrageously good though so im ok with it.

Yeah next 6 are:
Vs Newcastle
@spurs
Vs utd
@everton
Vs Brentford
Vs city

City over the same period:
@chelsea
@united
Vs Spurs
Vs wolves
@spurs
Vs Villa
@arsenal

While they also have an extra league cup game and a mu h tougher FA Cup game vs Chelsea where arsenal have Oxford.

That's a tough run for City, but they will be favorites every match of course.

Get through that period with the same or a bigger lead and it's a pinky finger on the trophy.

I still greatly worry about arsenals depth in attack and potential fatigue. We faded a lot lately in this game and our worst performances were on back to back away games on a tight schedule. I think we actually need two attacking signings tbh. Mudryk + Felix loan would be massive imo. I'd take a kudus for 25-30m too

ESR was back in training yesterday.

I think they will try to wrap up mudryk quickly then gamble on the health of Esr. Not perfect, but it is two starter level players that can be in within a week or 2.

Potential fatigue solution is just to dump Europa League

Not sure how feasible this is, but I’d like to see another midfield addition. Lokonga desperately needs minutes but at the same time it will most likely mean dropped points if we get an unlucky injury to Partey/Xhaka. I could be wrong though…never expected the leap Nketieh made last season.

Watched Escape to Victory for about the 100th time earlier.
Couple of points.
Stallone should’ve been sent off in the first half for an awful two footed lunge.
Co Prins was stretchered off in the first half but the Allies were allowed to make a substitution, something that wasn’t allowed in 1943.
Terrible decision not to pick John Wark. The poor bloke spent the whole game sat in the bench. He must’ve been fuming John Huston told him he wasn’t actually going to play in the match.

Kane hasn’t had much grief for missing his second penalty in the World Cup.
The German skipper missed his second. Probably sent to the Russian front.

For you, I hope that Kroenke recognizes the yolo situation that Arsenal are in and does those two signings(obv I want a United to land Felix. But lolGlazers) +a value play CM for depth. The crush of matches from here on out makes it really difficult for anyone that isn’t City. But, if Arsenal do some quick business, the title could really be there.

I don't even think you need to go full yolo, but you can leverage the likely t4 revenue and push forward the summer budget. They already pretty much showed they had about a 50m slush budget with their trying to sign raphina. They should obviously still try to get the right fit, but maybe you expand that budget a bit wider than it might of been. I think the stated offer for mudryk is already more than would be fair market price (40+25 in addons).

I don't think they buy a cm and just roll with partey/elneny/sambi for that position.
