It's less than ideal, but at least you have course and distance from games over here. 2002 was an absolute ballache for us, especially the final group game personally given I needed to go into an exam ten minutes into the second half

Lol yeah 2002 ****ing sucked, but at least I was in elementary school. Feel for people who had to start drinking at 8 AM. Brazil was perfect KO times for being in college

Same, Brazil was the absolute best if you were a college student

My memory of 2002 is having school swimming class during the qualification-clinching Belgium-Russia and following the score via the pool lifeguard on the radio

cresswell is super frustrating to project as he has certain games where he looks like an elite set piece taker and other games where he just disapears

likewise, antonio's season long numbers are on par with last year's emergence but he's been wildly inconsistent in generating offense this year, often playing 90 min and not taking a single shot, can't really argue against it though given west ham's record so maybe it's where they've simply diversified their offense whereas in the past it was "give antonio the ball and hope he wins the 1 on 3 where he can at least get a shot off to win a corner"
