I agree with you. Personally I'm in the "Ole is not THE problem, but he is A problem"-camp.
He's done alright with what he's had, certainly with youngsters like Greenwood, but he's also shown he just doesn't really >do< anything tactically offensively. With every United game I see, I get more and more convinced his attacking strategy is "hope Bruno or someone else does something that leads to a goal".
I simply don't think he's a manager who will enable United to challenge Liverpool or City, even if he got Sancho and whoever else triple digit million player he or the more fanatic fans claim that he "needs" to do better than get outplayed by Palace and Brighton.
Which is another thing I find strange. Many United fans last year: "our starting XI is one of the best in the league" (I don't hugely disagree with that, even if I don't think it's close to Liverpool/City).
The same fans this year: "what can you do without more depth even though all of the XI are fresh?"
