So I guess the sub-text is a) The EFL will appeal this fine and go for points deduction, or b) They reckon that when Derby re-do their books they'll be subject to a points deduction.

So for another other amortisation geeks, Matt Slater did a good piece in
the Athletic. He seems to suggest that it's a) - i.e. the league think that being found guilty and gaming the system is enough for a retrospective points deduction. However, the judges ruling on the case have already rejected that previously.
On point b), he says that the sale of pride park for £80m - which was cleared even though it's ****ing crooked to sell your stadium to your owner - should be enough to cover their books, even under the proper amortisation rules.
