Re: English Football 2020-21 - now with 100% additional Yorkshire

I wonder if players at whatever new club Jose is joining organize a pool on which one of them he's going to single out for bullying and abuse for no reason. Or on how long he's going to last before getting the sack. If not they should.

Contract to 2024 lol. He'll definitely be hired and fired by Valencia by then.

Valencia way too broke for that. I got Hertha BSC as a sleeper to be his next stop.

Re: English Football 2020-21 - now with 100% additional Yorkshire

Given that Man Utd v Liverpool was not rescheduled to be played in the past 48 hours like it probably should have been, what options are left? Surely it will have to be a Matchday 39 on the Champions League final weekend, May 29/30.

Thu May 06 - Roma v Man Utd
Sat May 08 - Aston Villa v Man Utd, Liverpool v Southampton
Wed May 12 - Man Utd v Leicester City
Sun May 16 - WBA v Liverpool
Wed May 19 - Man Utd v Fulham, Liverpool v Burnley
Sun May 23 - Wolves v Man Utd, Liverpool v Crystal Palace
Wed May 26 - Man Utd v Villareal/Arsenal (UEL Final)

I think the league will do everything they can to avoid not having all the teams play at the same time on the final day (took a literal bomb scare last time)

Also UEFA will throw a shitstorm if it clashes with the CL final.

Re: English Football 2020-21 - now with 100% additional Yorkshire

Another option is to play at the same time as the UEL SF 2nd leg this week, Man Utd can split their team across two games like Liverpool had to do when the FA Cup and Club World Cup were scheduled concurrently, December 2019 from memory.

Could the Man Utd B team maintain a 4 goal advantage in Rome?

Seriously though, maybe this:
Wed May 12 - Man Utd v Leicester City, WBA v Liverpool (moved from May 16)
Sun May 16 - Man Utd v Liverpool

Yeah I think moving the West Brom - Plop game to the Wednesday and making it Sun 16th is vastly preferable than having them split their team

I don't really see UEFA caring much about United playing Liverpool on 3pm on CL final day. But yeah, league's not gonna like it.

Another Lehmann error, but this time not when he was between the sticks.

I expect they've already decided but are waiting for confirmation that Man Utd go through tomorrow. We'll get the confirmation on Friday morning.
West Brom Liverpool to move forward to midweek next week and Man U Liverpool to play the following weekend.

Edit: What the others said above

Between that and the commentator on CBS yesterday, it continues to amaze me how people keep behaving in such a way not realizing it's going to cost them their jobs

Kind of surprised Auba played so much the other day. Apparently he lost 4 kg in the hospital with malaria

He looked kind of sickly in the pre-game interview yesterday too.

Having Tierney/Laca/Auba should help us go win tonight's game and make it a European final on all fronts featuring the best teams from England and Arsenal.

Re: English Football 2020-21 - now with 100% additional Yorkshire

sunderland til i die just keeps getting better and better, wish they had more of a holistic approach, like if they aired it again to have a new episode preceding the others giving a brief breakdown of prior year, club finances, who they lost and who they brought on

wish they did that because that is the most frustrating part for me about watching it, they did a great job handling the goalie replacement dealing with not just the new guys but also losing pickford

basic things like what percentage of their roster were from last year's premier league team were never discussed, which i found particularly odd given that would dramatically change the perception, it's one thing for sheffield united to go down to league 1 after next season, but if they did that with more or less their current roster that'd be truly astounding

perhaps they left out those details because your average viewer already has this background info

i got the feeling they didn't get much access or freedom to film/interview because quite often they'd tease a storyline and then never follow up on it, was just odd for continuity sake like they focus like crazy on jason steele and then barely mention his near departure and never broach him losing his job to the new guy but then at the end he seems to be back in net - seems like a missed storyline

really fun when i see teams/players who i recognize from premier league as an added bonus

but one thing is clear, bain looks like an incompetent fool, he makes it seem like he doesn't do much until the final days of the transfer window then talks up about how hard he worked - like wtf mate, you needed to have 2 long days mostly because you did f all the weeks preceding it - i know sometimes things fall apart and you gotta scramble or negotiations go on and on but it's absolutely inexcusable to have glaring holes in your roster and then leave it to the last day to make 2 possibilities work out - like wtf man, dude is a clown, and it's scary since this is the side of himself he puts forward as well

felt like they were unfair to the first manager and the second one got a lot of credit for not really doing anything different, which i found incredibly odd, he must be great at press conferences because he was about the only thing the fans liked

also really surprised how much input players seem to have on transfers and how they were talking to agents not teams in setting them up, i would have assumed other than a few guys important enough to have no trade clauses in their contracts it'd be entirely team to team discussions and players are told after the fact where they are going - totally different

i recall reading bits and pieces of that stuff in the past about a player wanting to sign or not wanting to transfer etc but i always assumed those were the top level guys who had those clauses in their contracts, never realized some guy on loan from wigan would have those rights as well

it's also getting easier to understand people when they talk, by the end of season 2 i imagine i'll be an honorary northerner

thanks for the rec guys, really enjoying it

Was pretty funny that season beating them at the SoL through a Clayton Donaldson (cost: 50k) brace

Re: English Football 2020-21 - now with 100% additional Yorkshire

The replacement coach has great hair and made the semi of EURO 2016 with Wales a year or two before so there's that.

The Steele thing confused me too at first but of he doesn't wanna talk afterwards, what are they gonna do? Not every one is gonna be as courageous/shameless as Grabban.

The worst thing about the editing is how often they just cut in crowd reactions with flood lights on them from day games in September or with people that don't exactly seem dressed for the weather. IIRC they were showing people ready to riot after like three games when that footage was from way later in the season.

I can't remember any more, but wasn't each season released at once? Makes a bug difference in editing vs weekly shows.

I'm guessing you've never been to the North East:

1) Coats/winter clothes are for pussies, even in December
2) Always up for a riot, regardless of context.
