The Athletic just went ahead and hired almost every top football writer in the UK, including Ornstein. Interesting how aggressive they've been, not sure how many people would be willing to pay for the content though

Loyalty narrative is for the fat blokes in pubs, not more not less.

Of course there is some professional sentiments here and there, but both sides are "loyal" until they all benefit from the deal.

What is with the Huddersfield sponsorship deal with Paddy Power? First they have the hideous sash now Paddy Power are saying jk lol we were never doing that. Any chance they actually intended to do it this way (the reveal then revocation)?
