Ok looks like i crapped the bed big time about Pogba. Thought he was too much trouble and i still hate his knobhead agent. But he has been class since he came back and him and Bruno together make me very stiff. Another 5 years please Pog. Thanks, your biggest fan Billy.

looks like we may be celebrating st totteringhams day this year.

slightly worried about how improved united looks with Bruno. They should pounce and strengthen their defense this summer.

Would be good if Ighalo could bag one here.

Fernandes keeps punishing. Egan smirks on the bench.

My punt that worked out the worst was/is Grealish. Not a score point in sight. Worst thing is I probably can't get rid now against Palace.

Bruno is ****ing great. That penalty decision though....

Spoiler:

Love that #JoseOut is trending. Will he go before Ndombele?

United aren't as good as Pool/City, but in a weird season with no fans, no real preseason...I don't think they're much less likely to be champions next year.

theyre not conceding goals either really. and when they do half of them are de gea's fault

it's one of those situations where it's easier to handle a big hole in the squad than upgrading on something pretty good but maybe not entirely enough

bruno fernandez to replace lingard is an easy upgrade, but to upgrade on shaw/maguire/lindelof you probably need to spend 70m and you cant even be sure it works better

i think they should just go all out on sancho because you should have 4 players to rotate across a front 3 and if he turns into a superstar it could win you the league

Yeah a Lindelöf upgrade would be nice but the priority has to be RW. I'd put a DM ahead of CB as well.

Luke Shaw upgrade should be easy enough.

lmao

Here's a few teams' incredible win records under certain figures:

Mourinho first Chelsea stint: 67%

Pep's City: 72%

Pep's Barca: 72.5%

Zidane first Madrid stint: 70%

Manchester United in games refereed by Anthony Taylor: 74% (https://www.worldfootball.net/refere...ster-united/4/)

The most impressive part of this stat is that his first time reffing a United game was in 2012, so all games have been during one of the worst periods in United's (recent) history, and they've still managed to have a higher win percentage than some of these truly sensational sides.

while I definitely think United should go after a CB when the window opens, I honestly don't know who they should go after. I feel like United dragged their feet on Koulibaly too much and he just turned 29. But, dropping 70m on a proper upgrade at CB is very doable for United even with the possible buying of Sancho.

And I fully agree with going after Sancho. This is a scary attack already and Sancho would completely add to that. Greenwood is extremely exciting, but he's still young and he'd still find plenty of minutes to give Martial/Rashford/Sancho a rest.

sadly I don't see us getting Rice as that one feels inevitable to Chelsea. I'd love to see Ndidi happen, but Leicester won't let him go cheap. I think we're "fine" at DM for the time being. Matic has seen a resurgence and McTominay can do a decent enough job right now as a backup.

I really do fear that they’re title challengers if they sign Koulibaly and DDG simply returns to form, nevermind adding someone like Sancho to that attack.

Upamecano is a name that comes to mind if Utd are looking for a CB.

What is it about Declan Rice that makes him so highly rated? Didnt even notice he was playing last night.

Not too fussed about Rice. I think he could be good but nowhere near a can't miss type player. I'm sure there are plenty of better+cheaper DM's to be found in France/Germany/Spain.

Can't see us going for a DM with Fred/McTominay and Matic just signed an extension. Sancho should be priority #1.
Would like to see us sell Jones/Rojo/ Bailly (in that order) and bring back Smalling as a squad member. He's not elite but the other 3 are perma crocks and should just be moved on. At least he could contribute somethiing.

Sell Lingard/Mata. Give Ighalo an extension.

Mason Greenwood is 37 years younger than Gary McAllister, who has also scored against Pepe Reina, who is now 37.

I can’t profess to have watched Rice a ton. But, I’ve liked what I’ve seen from him the times I’ve watched. I feel like he does subtle stuff ala Carrick that doesn’t necessarily show up in getting giant interception rates and whatnot. I could also be rating him much higher than he deserves.

Bandit, disagree irt Smalling vs Bailly. I think Bailly is better already and more to it, it’s just time to move on from Smalling. He’s been a loyal player and seems happy at Roma. My attitude is: let him enjoy his time in Rome and we can find someone that is equal or better than him.

I think Rojo is effectively gone as soon as that can happen and I hope that someone is willing to take Jones so we can be done with him.

If both are fit I take Bailly, but he's managed 29 league apps in 3 seasons. Smalling has 80. I struggle to think of any player who has had this many injury problems and ever gone on to a normal career. He's far more likely to become Diaby 2.0 than a regular.
