Well some clown has racially abused Pogba on twitter for missing the penalty last night. Some people just take things too ****ing far.

Maybe he is from SouthAmerica. That means 'friend' there

So, a more B2B role would probably play better. Especially as that would move United’s best outfield player into a more attacking position to fully take advantage of said player’s gifts.
As I said a few pages back, he's the new Tom Cleverley, but they're convinced he's the new Darren Fletcher.
I'd be astounded if he's still a Man Utd player in 3 years time.

I think he's better than Cleverly but worse than Fletcher fwiw. That said Fletcher was terrible when he broke into our team at first and took a while to develop into the midfield machine he became.

The Josh Kroenke interview with Ornstein is really good. He's clearly a smart guy who knows the right buttons to push, but that's something the club needs.

Really good? I almost thought it boarded on satire, especially when he talked about winning the league.

Josh Kroenke on transfer window, Unai Emery & targeting Premier League title

He said they aren't winning the league this year a month ago, did you think he was referring to this season?

Well, they were 50-1 a month ago, so no I didn't think they would either win the league this season.

it's not exactly a hot take to suggest Arsenal are unlikely to win the league while Kronke is in charge.

I mean, apparently they didn't realise Arsenal had problems until the second half of the EL final...

I think Kroenke was too busy counting his dollars. Not buying anything they say about their goals apart from profit. But there is no denying that with Raul and Edu we showed some ambition and some calculated gambles with Saliba and Martinelli. Ceballos deal looks amazing as well even if it is for a season, although I hope that Real will want a flashier name come next season and we can buy him for good. I already love the guy.

Stan doesn't care. If Josh cares enough to go to Baku, have interviews with Ornstein and other stuff, that is a gigantic step forward. He could be on a beach in LA between Rams games.

This may be true, however I'm sure Ceballos will want a flashier name than Arsenal come next season.

This depends on a lot of factor$. If we make top4 I dont see a reason why he wouldnt want to ball for us.

Meh, I don't see it. Spurs had concrete interest in Ceballos but bailed when neither the player or Madrid were prepared to consider anything other than a 1-year loan so he could get in the Spain squad for the 2020 Euros.

Kroos and Modric are a year older next summer, and I'd be surprised if even Madrid were dumb enough to move probably the best Spanish prospect on before either of those two.

If real agree to give Ceballos lots of minutes next season, he will never sign for us. If they cant promise that, he might.
There will be other "Ceballos" on the market. Hopefully this loan prove the type of player is key to our progression. This type of #8 or #10 seems way more in line with how Unai want us to play than Xhaka/Özil.

Favorite quote might be:

"I can only imagine what a Champions League final is like after being over in Baku."

Whole article is full of Brentisms:

"when Arsenal Football Club knocks on a player's door it's a different knock."

Guy probably believes that when Ozil kicks the ball, it makes a different sound.

An entirely fair and reasonable take.

I think Ozil-style #10s are a dying breed in the same way Michael Owen-style #9s disappeared from the modern game.

Maybe if they free the player they have on loan from us who ripped the division apart last year they might have better results. Then again their idiot manager will probably be unable to work a formation that best uses him

Just a side note about tapatalk, I got a new phone today, installed the app from scratch and it seems to be working just fine.
Not sure if related though.

I remember former coach Kevin Phillip saying when Stoke get relegated in 2018 some players didn't have relegation clauses and wouldn't take pay cuts whilst others did. Phillips said this obviously caused a huge rift in the dressing room. Either way they look like they are falling fast.

The temptation is always there until you splash it now and then see 6 of your players injured in international games
