what happened is i put out a few things about hazard not playing well (he was playing like dog****), cina got a massive belgian ump about it and referenced it a load over the years, and you're recalling all his references. it was really just about a three week flirtation with maybe they should shift this bloke on and bring in someone that is going to try all the time

in order to bring balance to the langerverse, i will disclose that i did compare salah to welbz a lot when he turned up at pool. which is much more incriminating iyam

A lot of Plop fans were pretty meh about Salah when he arrived. Tbh i cant blame them. Didnt follow Serie A at all

Although Mou getting rid of him should have been a HUGE clue that we have missed

Meanwhile in Scotland theyve decided to hold both League cup semi finals on the same day at Hampden. Between 4 teams that hate each other..

Should be a fun Sunday.

Let the special one ruin another career and ship us Martial in another swap.

I was very happy to get Salah but in all honesty I don't think he's gonna stay at his current level for very long. Hes got so many weaknesses. If we can get a few good years out of him and sell him for a massive fee when he's 28/29 it would be optimal.
09-27-2018 , 01:46 PM
That's a pretty reasonable take on Salah. He certainly doesn't seem quite at last year's level, but that's not surprising considering how high that level was.

What's the deal with Keita? Seems to have had a fairly low-key start.
09-27-2018 , 02:31 PM
Not unhappy if Ramsey goes but wish we'd sold him last summer.

He's something of a luxury player we haven't decided how to best use as Ozil is clearly a better 10, and maybe with Smith-Rowe looking like he can make the grade why meet Ramsey's 's wages demands (assuming they're a big jump)?

I'll always associate him too much with the weaker parts of Wenger's legacy - the nice guy with tricks n flicks.
09-27-2018 , 02:33 PM
I think Klopp's easing Keita in because of tactical reasons/getting used to the league. He's looked good in a attacking sense but a little bit naive defensively.

I'm fine moving Ramsey on, fine not paying him 300k a week or whatever, but it's super weird to agree to a deal and apparently pull out at the last minute.

We don't know exactly what happened, or even which side leaked this to the press, but the rumours are that a deal offering him parity with Auba etc @£200k/week was on the table, but short of Ozil's £350k/week.

Well, the attack doesn't *really* work right now, and Auba/Mkhit/Ozil/Lacazette are all on 200k+ (not sure about laca). They're also all older. Adding Ramsey to that group..isn't great going forward.

Bandit, I haven't looked into it myself but saw that statsbomb was sharing a lot more this year than ever before. I'd start there, but I genuinely don't know if they are offering that stuff up just saw a few tweets from their employees who I follow.

This is what I don't get either.

My only guess is that we've recently agreed to terms with other transfer targets and need the wages.

Salah is so fine imo, to say that he's declining is basically saying he's not running as hot with his finishing. could easily have 5 goals and 5 assits by now

I didn't check but I'm guessing his xG is pretty high

Possibilities:
This is a fall out from Gazidis leaving
Ramsey fell out with Emery or vice versa
A team enquired about him and they would offer big $
We've identified/made progress on a replacement who is cheap/young

Emery is pretty big on Ramsey. Prolly not that one. Mkst likely someone willin gto pay wages he wants also they dont have to pay transfer fees which is pretty big lolarsenal again

Was planning on going but not sure I'll bother now I'll have to either stay over (really don't want to wake up with hangover in Glasgow) or get the stupid o clock boat home at 3.30am.

Don't want to miss either ffs.

And we get the ****ty pitch after its been played on hours earlier. Joke.

rambo doesnt seem like a massive loss

other than that inexplicable 3 month period where he was a mix of prime kaka and prime kante he's been nowt to write home about. then again danny drinkwater costs 35m so replacing 'decent' might be harder than it seems

Last sentence yes. We could've got a good sum (£50M has been mentioned) for him last summer, but yet again we we get peanuts or nothing when a valuable player leaves.

This is the sort of thing the club has to fix for good.

Hope I'm not undervalueing Ramsey, but I dont think he will ve hard to replace even with the current squad depth.

I was a lot more worried when Sanchez left despite his constant hissy fits nearing the end. Who would have thought his evil twin would turn up at united from the point we sold him. Still cant believe he is the same player that featured for us

Agree. He obviously was unreal last season and without him in the final we were done (also due to zero depth) but even at his peak I never really felt like he was as dominant a player as Torres or Suarez were for us. Salah was incredible but a product of a system that was absolutely perfect for him and who Firmino and Mane complimented perfectly.

I tend to agree. I do really like him, but a lot of it is sentimental, with him being here since 17, coming back from a horrific leg breaker and then scoring those two FA Cup winners.

Still, I feel like supporting United is like having a tortoise as a pet. I had a tortoise, and they are not entertaining to watch. You don't watch them, but you know you have got a bit of responsibility to show some interest.

That is what I do with United. I keep an eye on them.

I don't watch them every game because, at the minute, that is a waste of 90 minutes. I just look at the result and if they win it is a bonus, I have no expectations any more.
Some severe GHW’ing going on here. (If not obvious changed from city to united mid 90s for no clear reason.)
