I agree with royalblue basically

The travel thing is a good point though. Replays would be terrible for fans.

the same thing is true for league games. which is exactly why it's strange that man city are wasting a weekend in abu dhabi. youre making my point.

No it's not. FA Cup fixtures aren't decided at the beginning of the season. They can be as little as 2 weeks in advance.

how long in advance will the city - brighton game be scheduled now that it's been moved? wouldnt it have been better for away fans to know that they can actually count on the league fixtures being played the weekend theyre planned?

all the arguments you make are for not wasting some semi-random midseason weekend at the beach

It will be either 17th or 18th of April. Plenty of notice.

Hey! We're going toe to toe with one of the best teams in league one, leading me to the conclusion that we could really compete in this league.

I'm sure when they last discussed the possibility of changing it, these reasons far outweighed the 'but daca wants to watch Man City at the weekend' argument.
decent point with the travel but at the end of the season, the share of games on the weekend vs midweek would not change right?

They could also just put every game on TV like they do in normal countries.

not usually a pessimist merchant, but i predict this ends in a draw and we get molested in the return fixture

New rule for this season. Hopefully they extend it to all rounds in future.

nice save pal

lack of replay makes it a little confusing as to why soton have been playing to take it to st marys from the first whistle

perhaps hughesy also unaware of the new rule

So undeserved.

I've come to the conclusion that it's because we're not good at football.

That’s some football heritage for you right there.

Chelsea might have been better off if they never hired him back at all, which is pretty crazy.
