It's not normally as many as 27 is it? Obv 23 for official tourneys, but I thought that's about how many it was for friendlies too. Maybe he wants to include as many as possible to train together etc.

How does the squad manage to get weaker and weaker each time a new one is announced
03-15-2018 , 11:10 AM
Kane got injured
03-15-2018 , 11:17 AM
What the **** has Joe Hart done to warrant inclusion?

He’s loud? He’ll help get the boys all fired up?

If Danny Welbeck was lining up next to me, I’d sure need a little extra motivation. Jesus, that squad is crap.

Germany, Spain and Brazil just shat themselves. Southgate is on the phone to Boris Johnson as we speak.

I remember when we signed him and people were extolling Hart's virtues, telling me how by shouting a lot he'd really help the team. They forgot to mention that the cement in his boots and between his ears was a negative point.

It looks like Joe has found his calling. Enjoy the bonus picture of Carroll reshuffling the pack on the left.

I read through every single name of the squad and all i could think about was good lord how much more mediocre can it get with the next name

Southgate throwing a bone to Tarkovski and Pope, when we know they'll be nowhere near the final squad because they lack EXPERIENCE
03-15-2018 , 12:28 PM
Good. Hopefully both Val and TP will rise to that bait. Wanted to spend my weekend arguing on the Internet anyway.

Nah, I need to keep myself fresh for the magical nights at Anfield debate that will happen next month.

I wonder if Tarkowski would be better off joining the Poland squad. Presumably he'd have a good chance of starting for them & would be a lock to make the WC squad?

He'll still have that option until he plays a competitive game for England.

For the last few international breaks we have chosen larger squads for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, they are back to back matches, so the theory is that he can try more players out.
Secondly, when the inevitable 'injuries' occur in the week prior, he doesn't always have to call up a replacement and potentially pull someone off a beach somewhere.

what rock do you live under eric?

heard a lot of good things about lewis cook lately. the few times i have seen him recently he has seemed to make a big impact, but i haven't seen enough to have a strong personal opinion. didn't we randomly have one bournemouth fan a while back?

Seems fair enough to get them to reconsider even if it is a coincidence. Save you from walking down the street in your brand new t shirt and getting beaten up (or spit on) anyways.
