Andy Robertson's a bit of a find.

I like Robertson, but...what? He was in the premier league last year. Sure he was on a bad bad team, but he was a bright spot for them and has always impressed me. This isn't exactly a show of scouting prowess. I was actually quite surprised how little competition/how low a price there was. I would have been fine with selling Rose and getting him as a backup/rotation to Davies, provided that we used the money for something.

I love RAWK meltdown as much as anyone but if anybody's response to a win like this is sensible and measured is doing it wrong.

Also, being sensible at an elite level was Coutinho's job.

They ****ed up because of the pressure we put them under. No other teams in the league try to put them under pressure like we did. They all sit in and try to counter because they are petrified of getting beat higher up the pitch.

To be fair normally the keeper is able to pick out a pass.

This. The league is starting to go to **** the way the majority of teams 7-20 are setting up against the top 6. Have a ****ing go for Christ sake, you ain’t getting results doing what you are doing.

Gonna have to give a hearty lol at the english tribals itt mocking a youngish American for not playing the noble hipster and choosing a relegation team or a never-win like Spuds

Thoroughly enjoyed that, especially since I had a fairly large bet on with my dad (he had city, I had 1x).

Ox looked terrific, to be honest. I think he can still improve a bit and I have to admit he's putting me to shame (I thought we'd paid 35m for a guy who would barely make it on the bench).

Don't think City score 3 if VVD is playing. I ended up going more or less ape**** when we allowed a guy in between three defenders chest it and toe-poke it in. Embarrassing.

Salah is a ****ing beast and my #ManeCrush lit it up again. Shame he didn't get two goals. And Firmino's pressing throughout the 90 minutes was exceptional -- what a player (still underrated!)

All in all, a deserved win. Pressing did it -- it was clear that City were uncomfortable while under constant harassment, so I think I'll have to agree with other posters ITT that teams should try to badger City more.

Lastly: KLOPP KLOPP KLOPP!

‘Save a street’? Are they planning to carpet bomb it?

plus like 90% of the english tribals itt support United/Plop/whatever team was best at the time when they picked, but have totally legit reasons why they aren't a ghw like "my great grandpappy went to a game once" or some such nonsense

That's not why we're mocking him.

bus has a point on fraüdero tbf

it is fair to point out that a foreigner will be ridiculed regardless of what team they support.

Agreed.

Thought Gomez on the other hand was pretty bad today and in general is exposed as a FB. I think he could play the Can role though.

Ya must be that bus picked man city, not the fact that they're playing the best PL season OAT so far and he's convinced half the team plus manager are terrible (or at least plays the part)

Still a clear net positive but there's plenty of legit lol bus obv

Langering it up.

Lol exactly this. Its the same as claiming Trippier was a "find".

The only mystery is why Klopp wasnt playing him sooner.

Well done, Liverpool. And thank you.

Seeing a lot of stuff about Aubameyang to Arsenal on my Twitter feed. Not sure what to think about that one, as one of our biggest problems rn is creating chances for Lacazette.
01-14-2018 , 05:11 PM
Moreno did have a string of very good games. Whether Robertson is a find or not is somewhat irrelevant (nitpickers ITT).
He was a steal at 10m in this market, though.
01-14-2018 , 05:14 PM
actually think pep is great, and it's stones and aguero who are completely useless in his system. never seen a more stiff player than aguero. i get he was amazing and still puts them in when kdb silva and sane are teeing him up but he's a terrible fit in this system.

and yeah, seeing alexis should be done in 2-3 days. auba potentially to arse. malcom getting close too, apparently.

He seems to be forcing a move with his father posting that Germany is going back to Hitler days lol (not entirely inaccurate tbf). Not sure if splurging on him makes sense at this stage for Arsenal but Aubameyang is clearly much better at creating chances for himself than Laca
01-14-2018 , 05:31 PM
how is Aubameyang only going for ~Lacazette money?

i know he's getting up there in age, but 0.75 npgs/90 this season seems quite good, and he's signed until 2021
