Not sure if lol Spurs or lol Newcastle.
More likely lol Bowyer.
He was still at Leeds in 2002 and moved to West Ham before he ended up at Newcastle.

My guess the regular is Trippier.

I've edited, it was Dyer, not sure why I thought it was Bowyer.

Jermaine Jenas was also saying that Kyle Walker wanted to stay, but they couldn't match his ambitions to win things, because of the wage structure.

Dyer was certainly on 50k+ at Newcastle and loved telling people all about it.

I'd imagine Seth Johnson was on more that Tripper is now when he was at Leeds

Eden Hazard: Of the 56 players to attempt 50+ dribbles in Europe's top 5 leagues this season, Hazard has the best dribble success rate (80%)

Using the same parameters, brother Thorgan Hazard has the worst dribble success rate (28.6%) in Europe's top 5 leagues this season

If his 60 grand a week was insured against injury then it can't really be lol Newcastle as they might spend upwards of a fiver a year on wages

If he was on that, the Spurs player will be Alderwiereld. There was a Belgian journo on James Richardson's podcast saying he was on £50k a week. Dyer said it was someone who was a regular international as well, which would rule Trippier out.

ya Gladbach twitter pointed out that Thorgan has been scorepointing well ... but maybe he should stop trying to dribble like Eden

That would make sense.

Spurs are really going to fall apart in the next 18 months.

Perhaps, but it's been suggested our turnover could increase by £100m pa when we move into the new stadium, so there is really no reason to not start paying our players.

Lest we forget everyone other than Toby and Lamela are on 4-5 year deals that they were more than happy to sign 12 months ago.

Also, I'm calling bs on that Walker story. I was also listening to it, and having read a summary of the Poch version from his book, it just feels like their was a breakdown in communication. In addition, he asked to leave mid-way through last season which pissed Poch off no end, especially as we were chasing Chelsea for the title.

Walker might have wanted to stay but he wanted paying, as well as seeing himself as a senior player/captain. I think in the end a sale was the best outcome for both parties.

got a spuds-based feeling in me bones

anyone wanna do my £10 vs your £50 on a spuds victory?

Spurs are going to get hammered today. I'm off to watch Star Wars instead.

Not to go all ducksauce at half time but palace are 7th in xG this season, the goals were gonna come. Think Benteke was on the longest run of his career without scoring.
