I'm a bit of a gamer but not a hardware expert mind you. You will get more for your money with a tower, building it yourself. You can get custom ones done at places like PCSpecialist (good site that, would recommend). There's a subreddit buildapc that will get you going if you are willing to research a bit.

Would rather just buy, really don't see me building anything myself.

Things like 'cyberpower armada' or 'zoostorm quest a8' worth looking at?

https://www.awd-it.co.uk/intel-i5-64...iABEgJa0PD_BwE any use?

I really haven't a clue.

A mate swears by that site, you just pick parts you need then clip them all together. He says it's pretty simple and straight forward only need a screw driver.

Can't be arsed myself to be honest, prefer the xbox for fifa + laptop for everything else.

It's all there.

Just click on the guides and click the price range:-

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/guide/8W...l-gaming-build

That's an entry level gaming machine.

Has all the parts at the bottom and an link to buy them.

I don't know how difficult it is to build to be honest but from what i've heard it's all just plug and play.

Yeh they're pretty easy to build (and fun, if that's your sort of thing). The problem is, if things do go wrong, unless you have some tech savvy friends, you're kind of screwed.

Also it can get rather addictive, then start getting very expensive...

Maybe they should change this to match foreign distribution rather than the other way round?

Yeah it is basically plug and play. If you can do IKEA furniture then it will be easy. You might want to read up a bit though.

Ring up PC Specialist. They custom make it, i.e. build it for you. Fair prices. Good knowledge. Other vendors are available but me and my brother both used it and they were very good.

Yeah, it is pretty easy. Ive always built my own, but id never build for anyone else. Building your own is fine if you are the one using it, and you therefore know when you need to upgrade certain parts, particularly for gaming.

However while building is easy, ive spent the best part of a day diagnosing problems when things go wrong. Thats fine when you are flexible when you work or study, not so much if youve been at work all day.

Just get something off the shelf so you can plead ignorance when something goes.wrong.

for a start i think its right to have an incentive for finishing higher, just as a matter of principle

there might be some perverse incentives with a completely flat payout structure. could find key players at mid table teams getting rested a lot at the back end of a season to make sure they're ready for next year ie when the games start mattering again. might sound implausible on the face of it, but fa cup and mickey mouse XIs indicate that the bottom line is at the forefront of selection decisions. if you cant get into europe and you cant get relegated then why risk your key assets? play the kids, it'll be good for their development

also the flat structure removes a disincentive for the following plan: newly promoted team invests 0 money, sells the players that got them promoted, goes back down after collecting 6 points on the season. fans are furious, chairman doesn't care cos he's got same payout as man utd got plus upcoming parachute payments in his back pocket. reckon there's plenty of ashley/oyston types out there who would be well up for this

Nail on the head there.

Although keep them both the way they are as we don't want the gap to become too big otherwise you'll get a super non competitive league. Where teams are regularly getting beat by 4 or 5 by all the bigger teams.
