Btw.. is the Carabao Cup the same competition that back in my days was called the Carling Cup?

Yes. Also the Worthington cup, coca cola cup and when we are knocked out, the Mickey mouse cup.

I've had speculation time and time again but I love being at this wonderful football club: I just feel very privileged to be manager here. I enjoy my work, enjoy coming through the door every morning. I think the players enjoy working for me and the fans like coming. I'm building something here."

You know you've got too many cups when you start calling them silly names like Sherpa Van, or Simod

Don't know if I'm being thick, but can someone explain to me what these numbers represent? The article doesn't make it clear at all.

Unsworth the new favorite on BF for the Everton job although they do have a 10 game rule on there.

Just had a look and those percentages are calculated including shots off target, which makes them meaningless.
10-24-2017 , 10:34 AM
But what do they actually mean?

That's the 'Ugometer'.

It calculates the percentage of usefulness a goalie has, compared to the 100% perfect Hugo Lloris.

Not sure if serious, but I'll answer anyway.

They mean Mignolet has saved 28.2% of shots that Liverpool's opponents have taken. All shots, including those that were off target or blocked. Which tells us nothing useful because why would he need to save off target shots?

Cause he can’t save on target shots

I was being serious because that's such a stupid metric it never occurred to me.

I'll do the caption for Spurs fans. The GOAT meets Hugo Lloris and an Argentinian midget.

in before the GOAT gets mysteriously injured for exactly a year

Proposals to end the equal distribution of overseas television money have been abandoned after Premier League clubs failed to reach an agreement.

The six richest clubs - Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea - wanted their appeal reflected in their income.

A plan suggested 35% of revenue from the sale of global TV rights should be divided based on league position.

But a meeting set for Wednesday was called off as no decision was close.

The Premier League said on Tuesday: "It has become clear that there is currently no consensus for change, meaning tomorrow's club meeting is not necessary."

At the first meeting between the 20 Premier League teams on 4 October, it had become clear that the plan - presented by the league's executive chairman Richard Scudamore - was significantly short of gaining the support of the 14 clubs needed for it to be passed.
no change is probably good for the overall health of the league, though i have some sympathy for the big teams on this one. 65% flat payment structure + 35% according to finishing position seems fair enough

Young lad wants PC for playing games, I'm undecided between a package PC and a dedicated gaming tower....help please lads.

Seems. What about 40? What about 50? Still seems pretty reasonable, and is compared to other countries. Any time they look to decrease parity rather than increase has to be looked upon sceptically.
