Since apparently no one watched this game, I'll sum it up for you all:

-70 minutes of absolute snoozefest. There were 0.5 xG combined in the first half.

-Propper got away with a leg breaker

-Brighton were all over them and racking up the always crucial "box entries" from 60-70 minutes

-Pascal GroB can't stop assisting - this time he one touched a rebound to Knockaert for an easy stab home

-Everton sort of attacked after that, but didn't really find much until Bruno decided to assault Calvert-Lewin's head away from the ball on a free kick into the box- pen was given and Fat Wayne slotted it home

-At 1-1 all tactics and discipline were abandoned in exchange for end to end chaos, but no one could win it. Everton came closest forcing a double save from Ryan.

-Everton still suck

Most fans I talk to are already losing patience. I guess my expectations were never high enough for the current form to be a huge disappointment, so I'm still able to see some mitigating circumstances. Keane and Siggy in particular are still struggling to find their form, which isn't helping, but I'm sure most fans agree they're still likely to prove good signings. We're also missing Funes Mori and Barkley way more than many realise, but of course the main problem we have right now is the big ROMELU shaped hole in the attacking lineup. We've spent a lot of money, but we've lost the sort of striker that a club of our standing just can't replace.

I never saw any reason to expect anything better than a top 10 finish, and I don't see any reason to panic yet. Will the new owners be as patient as old Bill was with Moyes and Martinez? I doubt it, especially if the majority of fans continue to expect so much more than they're ever likely to get.
