Really hoping mourinho doesn't take the haribo cup too seriously and gives some minutes to Gomes, O'Connor etc

Posting that Moyes had a better win percentage due to being in charge of the richest club in the world followed by criticising Dyche for his win percentage at the poorest club in the EPL is so Nic

Nic,

Weren't you like really bullish about Liverpool trampling all over everyone in the league like 2 weeks ago?
09-20-2017 , 08:54 AM
iirc nics line preseason was that pool would not win the pl title cos packed defenses but would have a good go at a CL run

unclear whether messi/ronaldo/greizmann/lewa etc vs lovren&co was factored into this calculation

Doesn't sound like me.

In srs business, my preseason line had us winning the double but after failing to land VVD and all the Phil nonsense I had to settle for just the CL.

You never can tell whether Nic's being serious, but we had:

And the truth is we have trampled over everyone bar city this season. Im not giving Watford props since we gifted them the point.

Taking two draws and a loss in our last 3 is massive lol variance given the way the games were played out.

If it wasn't for luck they'd win everytime.
09-20-2017 , 10:48 AM
And those pesky external factors.

In unrelated news there are some rumors of Sanchez starting tonight.

At what point does plop being **** at defending cease being variance and become the norm?
09-20-2017 , 12:16 PM
Last 5 seasons?

Correct assesment

Been busy this week, but massive lol at Marty attempting a langer from 3 1/2 years ago *massively* out of context. The massive aids to follow in spoilers, because of massive aids.

Spoiler:
I mean, you left out this part on purpose? That I was talking about a 20 year old Ox and the entire post was based on potential?
The convo started with a discussion of who to bring for England, basically between Townsend and Ox.

Well if I had to have put money on just one of our players really improving this year, it would have been ox
Quote:
My huge implication was that Ox was our most exciting player in terms of improving. More so then Gibbs, Ramsey, Wilshere, Jenkinson, Szczesny and any other young players with lots of room still to improve we have. He has more tools then anyone we have and I hope we can find a way to get the best out of him. Especially with everyone else taking a step forward this year and Ox so far unable to do so because of injury, why wouldn't we be most excited about him?
Now, that is the my entire string of posts on the subject. I said that over 3 1/2 years ago, that Ox had the best combination of physical tools/skills and could hopefully translate that into being a good player. He did not get better, then I had posts in both the 2016 and 2017 transfer threads saying he should be sold.

You spent the entirety of last season saying that the only reason Spurs finished above you was variance.

I'm not sure you'll find a Liverpool fan who rates our defence but that doesn't account for every mistake we make being punished at an absurd rate.

11tegen11s model had us 70% to beat Sevilla 81% to beat Burnley and 69% to beat Leicester. 2 draws and a defeat out of that is pretty unlikely.

I'll be concerned when we are playing like **** as a whole

You've been **** at defending since rafa left, not just the last three games.

Left nothing out, just remember Ox was best runner, kicker and headerer at Arsenal (def haven't got dementia or making some **** up btw). Which according to you, you never once in your life said.

And for some context.....'Ox best player at arsenal' 'I never said that' "guess who"

Now take yourself off you ****ing idiot.

I can also quote where I explained that I honestly thought someone else itt said the likes of caley don't bother watching games but that'd be too much context for you.

not sure who to believe. this situation may call for a full on langerdome

Spoiler:
two men enter
someone is declared king of the langering
one man leaves (as king of the langering, the other leaves too but he's not king of the langering he's still just some bloke)

I'm glad Sanchez didn't start against Chelsea so he's fresh for Doncaster tonight
