Football League gets a pretty bumper new deal from Sky. £600m over 5 yeara. Not sure how much difference it will really make when still dwarfed so much by the PL. I imagine the Scottish league will feel the pain most falling even further behind lower league English clubs.

It's the punishment laid down in the laws for serious foul play

I could understand them appealing for it to be rescinded altogether, but don't understand how they think they have grounds to appeal the length of the ban.

I don't recall any precedent, but remember Chelsea appealing Matic's dismissal on the grounds that he was provoked when he shoved Ashley Barnes in the back.

Frivolous appeal?
