I am with OAFK here, if that's a red by the rules then the rules are wrong imo. It's hard not be results orientated but this isn't a Schumacher moment.
What I mean with the Cahill comparison is that those red cards are given because we're trying to protect players and avoid dangerous situations where one can break a leg or something bad. This is the same logic here, we basically want to avoid what just happened to Ederson. If this is not a red, you allow anyone to go boots flying up in the face of the keeper with no consequences if you get it wrong.Going for the ball is besides the point of course people are going for the ball, that's the point of football.
And unlucky is a figure of speech. Mane has got a choice to make whether to go in boots flying in or not. Once he decides to go in and gets it wrong well good job good effort off you go and try not to catch the keeper next time
