Sidenote, it was annoying yesterday just how good Kante is. Every time a Spurs player would turn anywhere between the boxes he'd seem to be there. My thought process would be "who is tha.... oh it's Kante". Or "who the f is number sev.... oh Kante again".

Alright I'm going to set myself up for langering in about 9 hours time

I've been slow to the Gueye party based off his 35 starts for Aston Villa in 15/16. How can anyone start 35 times in that season and be a superstar, but then again Carrick played 34 times for West ham in 02-03.

So that justifies my Gueye scepticism. My suspicion is that Koeman has crafted a set-up where any halfway competent holding midfielder could look decent.

Oh and the £100k wage cap doesn't make any sense. Pay your top players what they are worth before it's too late.

I haven't seen enough of him to comment, but the side that took them down was dreadful. The back four appears to have been Hutton (lol), Lescott, Micah Richards and Aly Cissokho for much of the season. Up front was either Ayew the even younger or Gestede.

In other news, I saw Joaquin, who must be about 80, playing for Betis yesterday. He took the must dreamy touch at one point that I think someone should sign him. What happened to his career anyway?

Spurs fans don't realise it but they have a 3 season window to win major trophies and therefore retain their players despite not being able to match competitor's rates.

This is the final season of the three.

Danny Rose summed up what Kane, Alli and co. are thinking.

Nah, I think they'll be fine if they finish top 4 this year. I just don't think they'll achieve that.

Very much so. Villa can't really sign anyone at the moment because of it. PSG are going to have to do some accounting wizardry as well.
