Whatever the truth of these cases, nice to see the authorities going hard after tax cheats. I can't think of any cases in the UK off the top of my head where someone famous/wealthy was charged with tax evasion, mostly because tax 'avoidance' is legal and practiced by members of government themselves.
Di Maria, Ronaldo, Mourinho all Jorge Mendes clients. Starting to think the guy might be a little dodgy. Wonder if Diego Costa, Falcao, James might be next.
Footballing super-agent Jorge Mendes, who manages Cristiano Ronaldo among others, has been summoned before a Spanish court as part of the probe into Colombian striker Radamel Falcao’s alleged tax evasion, legal sources said on Wednesday.
Falcao Monaco’s Falcao is suspected of failing to correctly declare 5.6 million euros ($6.1 million) of income earned from image rights between 2012 and 2013 while he was at Atletico Madrid.
He is suspected of using a web of shell companies in the British Virgin Islands, Ireland, Colombia and Panama to avoid taxes on the image rights income.
PAYS TAX WHEN HE WANTS
PAYS TAX WHEN HE WAAAAAAAAANTS
JOSE MOURINHO
PAYS TAX WHEN HE WANTS
I feel like Sweet's early 1970s hit "Blockbuster" ought to be easily adaptable into a suitable terrace chant for Mourinho.
The Tax Dodger!!!
Alternative options include Nelly Furtado's "Maneater" ("he's a tax dodger") and The Prodigy's "Firestarter" ("I'm a tax dodger, twisted tax dodger"). There's plenty to work with.
our fixtures out, can't really complain - only the four midweek home games, did get boxing day at home which'll be a ballache if not impossible, pigs and forest away in back to back weekends is nice as i'll ignore the first but most won't (interesting to see how they do the usual shift of us vs pigs to sunday lunchtime given we play the tuesday after), might make tickets for the second easier. only away game i was targetting that might be awkward is derby as that's new year's day, everything else looks fine (may have to ignore cardiff as that's midweek, but that was always marginal)
Going to be in London on September 30th. How much more do you all estimate tickets for Chelsea/City will be versus Arsenal/Brighton? I was going to snap do Arsenal if they were home but the other match is obviously much better.
Have meant to reply to both ur messages and completely forgot. Will message in the morning sometime brother.
Here, is another instance of why I love this thread, and another instance of LO being a trustworthy mofo in regard to money/organising stuff/not being really busy when it matters!
