I can second that. Prague/Budapest just has so much more to offer on the grand scheme of things

Sounds good. I land in Vienna so i'll visit Vienna during that Sunday itself and do Bratislava during the week after work since it should be pretty light. I'll keep Budapest/Prague for Fri/Sat and Sun/Mon.

Any specific recommendations for must do in BUdapest/Prague? Will google as well to figure out. Also, planning on staying in hostels - they're pretty safe right?

Had fun in Prague for the ~7hrs that I was there around this time last year, sure that there's enough there for the average bloke here to extend it to a couple of days

edit @MindFckr - how's Budapest for boozers? I'm going to be making my way back from a stag do at the back end of August and could probably work in a day there on the way back

Probably one of Europe's best cities to get drunk at. Lemme know when you are here. Pub crawl is on the cards if I'm free. If not I'll pm you some locations which are worth the visit to try some local craft beers

if you want to socialize, don't mind the noise (most hostels I know are in some kind of party district). They are safe though. Otherwise I'd take an AirBnB. Safe+cosy and mostly for the same price. Coming alone I'd take the hostel option though

I'll think of must visit places and stuff

Prague is an elite city. Spend all the time there. Budapest is kind of cool too but the city is so ****ing big. Vienna is cool for like historical ****. Didn't go to Bratislava. Drove there from Graz with my Austrian friends and the driver forgot his passport. Vivid memory for this Yank from that road trip though was stopping at a gas station and getting Jack and Coke in a can. And drinking it in the car while my buddy was driving. FREEDOM!

Lived in Prague for a year actually. Honestly my favorite thing to was sit by the Vltava river (Naplavka is a great spot) and watch the sunset while drinking Pilsners...gorgeous.

You’ll probably want to walk across Charles Bridge and check out Prague Castle. Also there are tons of great parks. Letna Park is really nice and Perrin Hill/Tower gives an awesome view of the city.

If you can’t tell by now, I’m an lolold, but feel free to PM if you want nightlife recs.

Magyarorszag!!

There's definitely a few interesting craft beer spots to occupy a nice evening here away from the tourist hordes.

When we finally get a ledders appearance, we know it’s time for a new season thread

In place of that, I do want to hear about craft beer spots in Budapest

It was a long time ago, but Budapest had the finest titty bar I have ever set foot in.

Anyway, bring on the new thread.

Last time I was in Prague my friend finished the night with his tongue in a stripper's arse crack. Guess their rules about touching are a wee bit more relaxed.

Eleszto is the number 1 spot for tasting from small brewers. 20+ beers on tap and nice looking food.

Legenda and Rizmajer are two solid breweries with good pubs.

Krak'n Town is an odd pub in a steampunk style but is an interesting place.

And if you end up in a regular dive bar, bottled beer is better as the lines are about as clean as a Prague strippers arse crack.

Guy looks like he's aching to put on a dress and strut his stuff. Would be a pity if the first major footballer to come out was a **** like him.

i dont think its gay, i think its just.. there seems to be something about making it out of poverty via a combination of natural talent and hard work (thereby securing your financial future and that of your friends and family) which makes a person need to wear hooped earrings and walk around with a tiny dog. not just a brazil thing, lewis hamilton's the same way

look at these two fannies,

I think he's going to be one of the people in the capital city in the next Hunger Games film.

At last, the conversation itt moves on to a subject on which I'm reasonably well informed!

Lewandowski wore the grey hair before it was cool.

Prague is awesome but stay away from the stag do spots. They will rip you off. You can be paying equivalent of 30p a pint one place and next it's £4 equiv if you go to the overly touristy part.

Did our IKTS players see the BBC site was so ****ing bad that they are not even running IKTS this year?

I hope we're over our Talksport nonsense, and everyone is up for going back this year. Season isn't that far away so probably not a bad time to start gauging interest. $20 entry. Any volunteers to run? I'll run if I absolutely have to.
07-16-2018 , 10:15 AM
You won't need to once LO launches his season long 12x!
07-16-2018 , 10:18 AM
Absolutely want a non-aids ikts this season with >10 runners hopefully.

Does anyone know of any alternatives to the talk****e version? A quick google shows some options but would be preferable if someone has experience or has heard anything positive about others sites.

I really don't think there's any. Talksport is AIDS but it's not like we're giving them and the S*n tons of money by participating in their IKTS game. Their format and structure are near perfect so it's the logical one to go with. The BBC AIDS version last year should have taught us that
