The awfulness of the winters is grossly overstated usually. Yea, we can get some nasty temps once or twice a winter, but it's only truly awful in January and February for the most part (and the first two-three weeks of March).

I love Chicago, possibly my favourite American city.

I was in LA last year for E3 but couldn't tell you much about it except that I'd recommend getting taken out for free meals at nice restaurants

So the PL will have a two week "break" in February from 2019/20 on, but it sounds like they're just basically stretching a matchday over two weekends with five games on each. So basically a week off for each team.

It doesn't really solve anything though. The fixture congestion over Christmas will still be the same and there'll be another midweek game later in the season for teams involved in the FA Cup 5th round.

Eh, I'm English and usually melt above about 70, but having spent the last 7 years in NYC Chicago's summers are actually much easier to deal with. When you combine that with how much awesome **** is going down outside, great place to be.

. I’ve basically lived here my entire life (minus 8 years in NY/NJ). I was actually looking for what I thought was a Guardian Article on why Brits don’t seem to visit Chicago. More that is was: why do tons of Americans go there and yet we never think of going there. Nic doing SF+LA reminded me of that article
