We might be running hot but probably not as hot as the likes of you keep saying and it isn't the sole reason that we're not in a relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League. We're actually quite a good team.

Didn't call TP thin skinned. Actually I'm fine with TP, he said himself 40 points and admited on top of it that they were benefiting from good luck so not bothered at all. From the outside, it seemed like he absolutely wanted to defend his club against the idea that they were lucky and wanted to give as much credit as possible to Sean Dyche but if he himself openly admits the luck then i have no problem with it.

As always the truth is somewhere in the middle, I just happen to think that it's mostly due to luck rather than tactical wizardry or super sick defensive schemes or whatever. Obviously TP won't agree to the extend the same way I (and others) will but it's all in the game homers gonna homer etc and with the whole xG debate/ducksauce dynamics etc I'd argue it's good for the community experience

Fwiw I used to team up with TP regarding xG because I thought (and still do) that people just USE it way too religiously for single games sample with no regards for context so this isn't me being team-xG, i don't think you need xG to understand that Burnley are running amazing, getting so many 1-0's can only be lucky and you can just use simple stats like chances created, shots faced, etc... to illustrate your point. I don't think Burnley deserve to be where the xG table has them (i believe it was 19th last time i checked)

Speaking of Defour, I think having him fit and happy and playing every game alongside Cork has been absolutely key to our good form this season. He really is a quality player, possibly the best I've ever seen in a Burnley shirt.
