Pretty much.

Unless you think teams played Leicester exactly the same way last season.

they've had 2.5 years in the pl with mr potato and finished 19th, 16th and now this one. seems like it might be anomalous just based on that

If it doesn’t continue for the rest of the season, agreed.

I wonder if a team has ever ever averaged under 1 goal per game and been top 4 in a major league midway through the season before. (At least in the 3 pts for a win/cl era)

Trending up! No anomalies in sight.

Got to be some Italian team in the early 90's.

Maybe Burnley have the ability to score when they want but they don't create anything for 89 minutes on purpose to make the opposing defense comfortable and then take them by surprise with a last minute 1-0 goal

We've got better every year under Dyche and you're conveniently ignoring the two Championship seasons in which we smashed the numbers even harder.

Lol your ridiculous. You set your likely point total for next season at 40, yet get all defensive when people suggest you are running hot on 31 points from 17 games and 16 goals. Which is it? Why do you feel Burnley won't carry this form forward if they keep doing their magical ****?

Dropping from 1.82 to 1.05 points per game doing the same things. No variance here eh?

Bearing in mind the pasted post has been modded now, I'd think you're wrong.

So it has, fair enough.

Still think they don't deserve the hits for regurgitated nonsense, basically the daily output for all of the football writers.

Someone mentioned earlier itt about how negative the Manchester evening news was towards Liverpool. Honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out the Man UTD PR department had a hand in it. Same way the old huns did with the Glasgow papers and negative stories towards Celtic (proven fact).

That's not how the media should work.

Joe, pm Marty on FB for crypto help.
Coinbase is like the worst for fees.

As much as I love bugging TP as well, I think he's well aware Burnley doesn't play like Barcelona. I don't think he's learning much by us all reminding him.

Looks like Giroud and Wilshere to start.

Cech, Koscielny, Sanchez, Wilshere, Ozil, Giroud, Iwobi, Monreal, Bellerin, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles.

So, we're playing our 3rd choice LB in a back 4, who is much better as a DM. No Ozil either. I don't get it.

Lloris, Rose, Vertonghen, Aurier, Dier, Sissoko, Son, Winks, Eriksen, Lamela, Kane.

How many ******g times do I need to say it.

We might be running hot but probably not as hot as the likes of you keep saying and it isn't the sole reason that we're not in a relegation battle at the bottom of the Premier League. We're actually quite a good team.

Didn't call TP thin skinned. Actually I'm fine with TP, he said himself 40 points and admited on top of it that they were benefiting from good luck so not bothered at all. From the outside, it seemed like he absolutely wanted to defend his club against the idea that they were lucky and wanted to give as much credit as possible to Sean Dyche but if he himself openly admits the luck then i have no problem with it.

As always the truth is somewhere in the middle, I just happen to think that it's mostly due to luck rather than tactical wizardry or super sick defensive schemes or whatever. Obviously TP won't agree to the extend the same way I (and others) will but it's all in the game homers gonna homer etc and with the whole xG debate/ducksauce dynamics etc I'd argue it's good for the community experience

Fwiw I used to team up with TP regarding xG because I thought (and still do) that people just USE it way too religiously for single games sample with no regards for context so this isn't me being team-xG, i don't think you need xG to understand that Burnley are running amazing, getting so many 1-0's can only be lucky and you can just use simple stats like chances created, shots faced, etc... to illustrate your point. I don't think Burnley deserve to be where the xG table has them (i believe it was 19th last time i checked)

Plop are fielding the fab 4. At home. In a night game. Against West Brom.

It's going to be a cricket score.

Shaw and McTominay start. Jones also back. Miki still in exile.

Not for the first time on this subject you make a reasonable post that sees things from both sides. I don't entirely agree with the last paragraph, but I suppose we can't have everything

Speaking of Defour, I think having him fit and happy and playing every game alongside Cork has been absolutely key to our good form this season. He really is a quality player, possibly the best I've ever seen in a Burnley shirt.

Anyway, tonight I will be mostly supporting team Pardew, team Moyes, Brighton and Crewe.
