I'm confused as to what you're arguing now.

You think foreign investors will pay more for a Championship club with a few quid in the bank than a club in the PL?

Funny enough, a co-worker who is a Liverpool fan gets terrified everytime they play at 3pm on a Saturday. Says their recent record is awful, no idea if it's true or not but might have a bit of a laugh at him on Monday if this continues.

First half Draw with Sunderland confirms Plop will be binking the league..
11-26-2016 , 11:50 AM
This plop game could go on for weeks and they wouldn't score
11-26-2016 , 11:52 AM
We lose Mane for a few weeks soon as well. Trying to lay us for top 4 but there's no liquidity.
11-26-2016 , 11:54 AM
It can't be bust time already.

think about what you're saying here. hopefully for burnley their strategy is making the club more valuable because if not then they're fielding worse players for no reason at all. that would be entirely self-defeating and you should be against it just for the stupidity of it. not only because it's greedy, unambitious and boring.

Simple risk/reward thing really

This rational thinking from a Plop fan doesn't make any sense.

:P

the irony here is that if Burnley were to spend a ton and still go down, Daca would be the same person laughing at them for doing just what he's currently wanting them to do.

For me, Burnley is being run exactly how they should be run. It doesn't matter what someone that is a casual fan in America or Denmark thinks, it's the people who live around Burnley and have seen the club rise through the league since they almost went out of the league. The yo-yoing that they have done over the past few years is the most sustained success the club has had in a long time and the owners are slowly building upon it to actually give the club a chance at staying up for a few years.

Burnley may go down this year, but, they certainly look like they have a better chance than the past two times and that is because of prudent use of the money by the owners. If they had been splashing out for the Bobby Zamoras and SWPs of the world the previous two times up, their relegation battle may be to drop into League 1 as opposed to going back into the Championship (where they will have a good shot going up over the next 4 years).

Surely you should think about what you're saying. The club is more valuable as a PL club and the long term ambition is to stay there. I don't believe the owners have any intentions of selling in the short term, so their strategy seems to be a good one to me.

If they wanted to make a quick buck, surely the optimal strategy would be to spend a load money on players, saddle the club with a load of debt, hopefully stay up and then sell. The problem with that is, if it goes wrong, you end up like QPR, Portsmouth, Bolton, Venkys etc.

BUST BUST BUST

plop probably eek out a win here and fans will be like "this is fine" as the flames rapidly engulf them.

They've have already made the club more valuable by improving the facilities in the academy and training centre. That costs money.

I'm eager to know where you think they can magically pull this money from in order to buy these players and pay the wages for these players?

Seems to me like you're having difficulty understanding very basic finance.

Daca,

Seriously man, think about what you're saying here. People are giving you examples of clubs that have done what you want Burnley to do. You're not that stubborn you're just going to ignore this, are you?
11-26-2016 , 12:05 PM
i believe daca is used to state run football clubs, so it is not surprising to see this consternation
11-26-2016 , 12:06 PM
exquisite logic from mr. open ligaments here. the draw at soton was only a good draw if they win this. it's a bad draw if they don't cuz two draws on the trot is bad.

Abandoning the plop ship. No Phil and mane is doom switch
