Anyone here been to the Olympic Stadium & have a guide to the best seats? Going to England v. Australia Four Nations. Probably just going behind the goals unless I hear otherwise.

Try not to get one of the ones that was thrown at someone

I've not been but I've always disliked going behind the goal for sporting events. It's much harder to tell what's going on. At Wembley (admittedly for NFL rather than Rugby) I've been at the bottom of the middle tier behind the goals and in the top tier above the halfway line and the latter is far far better than the former despite being half the price.

Rugby tickets at midfield are cheaper than those behind the "endzone"? Wtf
10-27-2016 , 10:30 AM
If you're referring to my post I said it was for the NFL
10-27-2016 , 10:38 AM
Oh I misread sry. Still surprised tho

Yeah, a bunch of stadia here have weird pricing structures, for our cup semi at Wembley, I was tempted to go for the second tier of pricing, but along with much of the decent seats, they also thought right at the front behind the goal, i.e. the worst seats in the ground, should be in the same category, so I just went for the cheapest instead which guaranteed top tier begins the goal
10-27-2016 , 11:56 AM
Server swallowed my edit, but in case it's not obvious you had no choice of seat within a category, selling in order so that those seats in view of the main TV camera are sold first to make the game look more popular than it is

The last time I was at Wembley, I was in the top tier above the halfway line but near the back and I hated the view as I was unable to see the Sky.

Frankly the worst seats for any event I've been to was for UFC at the O², we could only get the cheap seats quite high up, so any time it wasn't stand up it necessitated watching the screen. Which we were directly behind so could only see it in a somewhat darkened reverse view
