Well after Capello I'd be xenophobic too

Forgot about Sven-Göran. He did pretty well all things considered
07-21-2016 , 12:01 PM
quite pleased with the spurs offseason. If Juve tries to steal any of our players with the pogba money we can relate but please **** off

Sam is pretty perfect for England. He's basically never underperformed and is especially experienced at squeezing the most out of squads lacking in talent.

Erickson did well with England imo.

Better than Keegan, Mctwaten and Woy.

just put alf ramsey's reanimated corpse on the sideline for high levels of motivational gesturing and have gnev put the training cones out. corpse probably wont command a big wage which is a bonus

I would like to see this:

---------------------De Gea----------------
--TFM---------Bailly-------Smalling-----Shaw---
---------------Carrick------Schneiderlin---------
-----------------------Pogba----------------------
----Mkhitaryan------------------------Martial---
-----------------------Zlatan----------------------

Subs: Jones, Blind, Darmian, Valencia. Herrera, Schweinsteiger, Depay, Lingard, Young, Rashford, Rooney.

Likely departures: Rojo, Mata, Fellaini, plus a few fringe players.

I asked this before re: United but what about Darmian? No longer first choice to a kid?

According to the ever reliable Telegraph Arsene turned downed the FA's offer.

Mourinho might prefer him or Valencia as RB. Maybe Darmian will be better next season, who knows. That was just my preference for the future but things change.

Why would Wenger ever want to manage England? There is zero incentive for him bar the money side of it but I doubt that even matters to him. People even entertaining the idea he would go for it need their head looked at.

He's probably earning more than England would offer. Confident the big sam can inspire the team to get back to losing quarter final penalty shootouts - think that's fine. Maybe a bit of run good too for better results.

somewhat surprised that The Big Sam even wants to do it

international managing generally an old man's game, for people who want to make bank for a part-time job

have heard younger managers complain about how boring it is compared to the daily grind of club management

Leading England towards major honors is a pretty big deal don't you think?

While we're on the lineup train I'm guessing we line up like this v. Arsenal

Karius
Clyne--Sakho--Lovren--Moreno (yuck)
Can--Winj
Mane--Firmino--Coutinho
Sturridge

Bench some of: Mignolet, Matip, Ragnar, Milner, Hendo, Lallana, GOATurjic, Origi, Ings, Lucas, Markovic (likely sold)

Yea it's pretty safe to say that squad isn't finishing top 4
07-21-2016 , 04:57 PM
Matip will start first game (Sakho's out for a while), Can probably won't be ready in time either. I think Origi starts as number 1 striker.

Yea see the ninja edit. That's more our best XI than Arsenal game?

I'm worried about this team. It's inexcusable that we have a million midfielders, just dropped 25m on Winjaldum and Alberto Moreno will be our starting left back. Worse, there is zero cover for him or Clyne except for a 30 year old center back named Ragnar who can play LB in a pinch. Our CM is going to get destroyed against half decent teams and the Watford and West Ham aways of the world. Hope there's more business to come and have to think some players will be seeing the door. That's a big squad for no European football

For the first time in ages I haven't got a clue what our best side is. I'm thinking we may have different home and away sides this season. I see Sturridge playing a fair bit at Anfield and Origi away.

Markovic and Lucas could be on their way I suspect. Window's open for another 5 weeks though yet so could get a left back. We've been linked with Jonas Hector.

He's 61 (62 in October) and the alternative is managing Sunderland.

I predict Big Sam will lead England to glory at WC2018.

By Glory I mean getting out of the group stage and barely losing in round of 16. England manager for next 10 years.

Matip is your best CB
