Mourinho off to a pretty GOATish start as United manager. A few months ago I was dreading another season of LVDonk or even worse Giggs being given the job. It was infuriating watching both Moyes and LVDonk come in and want to assess the entire squad before they made any decisions on transfers when most of this thread could have told you what the squad needed. None of that BS with Mourinho straight in and addressing the 4 obvious gaps with targets picked. Pogba signing would be immense.

The best part so far was how he shat all over Rooney in the presser. Can't play well up front then you don't play. No more of Rooney being accommodated and picking his own position in the team. He's essentially reduced to being 3rd choice striker behind Ibra/GOATford. No doubt his mates in the press are liable to kick up stink at how unfairly he's being treated at some point but majority of United fans will be glad to see him reduced to a squad player.

That's my guess. If we somehow pull the Pogba deal off, I guess we could go 433, with Pogba + Herrera/Schneiderlin CM, Carrick/Schweinsteiger/Blind DM. Fully expect Rooney to be starting regardless though.

I'm assuming that even if the Pogba deal doesn't go through we'll sign someone else. Mourinho said he has 4 areas in mind and the other is obviously CM. Fatboys days are numbered.
