It's probably such a hole because Edinburgh ****s all over it.

Aside from Larsson, name one of those 'quality' players of which you speak. Obviously, the English players of the late 80/early 90s at Rangers don't count as England was banned from Europe at the time.

Di Canio

When the ball's in the air and it's not big Pierre...
08-30-2016 , 03:35 PM
Tier 3 at the time. Just as I said.
08-30-2016 , 03:37 PM
It's DiCanio.
08-30-2016 , 03:40 PM
Haha.
You cited John Hartson.
That is all.

And Chris Sutton.

Yep proven premier league goal scorer Hartson and Sutton lead his team to the PL title. Never said they were world beaters but to deny they were quality is just lying to yourself.

You're an ignoramus Pete.

Like I said, an ignoramus. Sutton PL top scorer in his 3rd season at Ewood (earned £14m? move to Chelsea off the back of it). Now **** off.

Last edited by unwantedguest; 08-30-2016 at 03:58 PM. Reason: Sutton £5m to Blackburn most expensive English footballer. No quality though.

Didn't all this happen like 10-15 years ago? Times have changed. It's more Scott Sinclairs and Joey Barton these days
08-30-2016 , 03:48 PM
Alan Hutton

The Scottish Cafu

Most of the huns were paid via EBTs as well which when discovered ultimately led to their liquidation.

I think our only export of note was Dean Windass.

HAHA.
John Hartson was not a 'proven premier league goal scorer', he was an injury prone underachiever who even Coventry gave up on.
Chris Sutton didn't 'lead' Blackburn to the title. He did an, admittedly, great job alongside Shearer in 94/95 and had a couple of good seasons once Shearer left. His career then fell apart after his disastrous move to Chelsea, resulting in him only having the option of going to Scotland, a full 5 years after his peak. No wonder he sounds so sad and bitter on Radio 5 these days. He's scarred irreversibly.
They key point is that they were quality, but then when they weren't any more they went to Scotland.

At least Celtic and Rangers have a chance of making the CL when they play in Scotland. They can kiss that goodbye if they move south...

Harston hit 15 goals in the top flight when the top scorer got 18 FWIW.

Lol and it was Sutton (+ Owen/Dublin) with 18.
08-30-2016 , 04:12 PM
....and it was the only season he hit double figures.

Ok, I gave you enough time to edit this out and you haven't so I can only conclude that you actually think it's true.

Care to expand?

I'd prefer not to wax lyrical about the huns thanks.

Doubt anyone else needs that post explained to them though.

Already told you, I'll be disregarding what you say as you've nothing either constructive nor humourous to offer.

I doubt anyone else is bothered enough by your deluded rambles to need you to explain it. I just thought I'd call you out on it seeing as you accuse me of being an ignoramus.

joke trophy update - swansea's starting eleven had squad numbers adding up to 340 more than the attendance

and apparently it goes straight to pens, despite being a group stage. in unsurprising news, we still can't take penalties

Scotch ebolaids outbreak itt re-confirming the unparalleled WOATness of international breaks

(especially when combined with World Cup elimination 2 years out, which is almost sure to happen within the week for some unlucky souls)

"assume that your examiner is an ignoramus and explain everything to him"
I suppose I may then.

DeBoer twins, Van Bronkhorst, Numan, Konterman and Mols all at the huns together (possible I forgot one or two). All in Dutch squad together. Porrini and Gattusso played for Italy. Thought Amoruso did likewise, my bad.

Can't sign quality players though.

Now I'm done.

scotch is a drink
08-30-2016 , 05:16 PM
Jeez. That was a small Dutch squad.
Remind me. What season was it that they all played?
I notice only two of them made the Euro 2000 squad. Must've been a lot of injuries.

Yep, a '**** load' of Italians
BTW, Gattuso made his Italy debut 2 years AFTER he left Scotland and he never actually represented them at any level when he was languishing in that joke of a league, but hey what's facts between friends?
