It wasn't a proper release clause

Taylor later told the Press Association the contract does NOT oblige Liverpool to sell Suarez:

"If you are going to have a supposed buy-out clause it should be that, but it is different as it says if there is no qualification for the Champions League [by Liverpool] and if there is a minimum offer of £40million then the parties will get around the table to discuss things but it does not say the club has to sell.

"It quite clearly states £40million is a minimum offer for discussions, but it becomes really difficult with such clauses.

I want to go to Lithuania v England in October with 2 mates, anyone have an idea how we can get tickets without paying viagogo 85 a pop? I'm English and they are Irish and Dutch so I assume England supporters club is no option. Happy to sit in with the Lithuania fans since none of us are England fans. Stadium looks like it only holds 5k (?!!) so not sure if it would be possible to get tickets on the day, assume not. Anyone got a Lithuanian contact?

Post in euro thread as well.

Your Irish mate must need his head looked at lol. No chance I'm spending any time around the England fans abroad.

Aight cheers. Haha, I hate England fans too, it's also part of a Belarus v Holland double bill the day before. Football matches are a good opportunity to go abroad in my quest to go to as many countries as possible.

pissed up millwall fan sinks caliphate

Quote:
A football fan reportedly yelled “F**k you, I’m Millwall” as he single-handedly took on the three knife-wielding London terror attackers armed with nothing more than his fists.

“I got stabbed and sliced eight times. They got me in my head, chest and both hands. There was blood everywhere.

“They were saying, ‘Islam, Islam!’. I said again, ‘F*** you, I’m Millwall!’

“It was the worst thing I could have done as they carried on attacking me.

“Luckily, none of the blows were straight at me or I’d be dead.”

**** YOU I'M MILLWALL

“It was the worst thing I could have done as they carried on attacking me."

No way a Millwall fan has this kind of awareness

Puel sacked by Southampton.

I thought you looked very good in the first half of the season and then seemed to tail off a little bit, I'm not sure if that was injuries or the cup final or whatever? It does seem a little harsh, particularly given that Bilic kept his job on the back of being media friendly and leaping around on the touchline sometimes (and we are too tight to sack him).

They were saying not enough police officers are available for these emergencies...well i think a couple pissed football fans strategically spread around major cities could do the job. At least slow down proceedings until police gets there

Pros:they will fight no matter the threat level

Cons: they might fight each other and the police as well

Also this Millwall guy reminded ne of the Brothers Grimsby. Def check that movie out if you havent already

Yeah it's almost as if losing out best player from Jan-end the of season and selling his CB partner and not replacing either was responsible for the tail off!

I wouldn't worry, those cup finals for also rans come along really often for mid-table sides. The board can congratulate themselves on a job well done.

'Pissed up' seems redundant in that sentence.

At least I shouldn't need to worry about Dyche being linked with this one (if he doesn't go to Palace that is).

I guess he's getting warmed up for the Plop job when Klopp gets sacked.

Has Puel actually been sacked yet? Haven't seen any confirmation
06-07-2017 , 06:41 AM
Yeah, when I woke up this morning all the papers were saying today was the day, but I've seen no actual confirmation yet.

Tuchel would obviously be fine.

Southampton owner Katharina Liebherr has become embroiled in an investigation by the German tax authorities that could increase the pressure on her to sell the Premier League club [Times].

In Southampton, not only the manager, but the owner can change.
