I'd love to see as TP's undertitle:

making fanny his personal *****

LO or some of the others within striking distance of wilfred, please KO him out of the money places please

I love how TP is ~100pts clear in our league, yet in the £35 MTT league he is something like 9th/40.

Not sure what that says about our FF skills....

4th gets nothing right? only top 3? sitting in 5th and need to know if i can have any hope at all

Does anyone know if the u20 World Cup will be televised? Cursory glance shows some channels that I've never heard of. Does anyone watch it?

That's always a really tough league. The team I've been running for my mate since week 3 would be winning it though

This is quite a fun and interesting article, especially as I can image how annoyed some of the *ahem* more seasoned members of this forum will be by it:

Quite interesting. Good that it doesn't happen.

That's the entire point of a league and cups. Could scrap the league and cups then do it but that'd be boring iyam

Yeah, I'm happy with things the way they are, and the article is quite tongue in cheek:

What would happen if more than a century of English soccer tradition was thrown out in favor of a shamelessly Americanized format?
But some of the analysis is pretty good.

One thing I will say is that the format is good for things like the premier league of darts but wouldn't work well in the main event (worlds).

It's also a good format for the World Cup with several groups to start with as it's a tournament every four years. Whereas the El group stage is boring and would suit a straight knock out.

I think this has been suggested before, but I wouldn't hate playoffs for the final Champions League spot.

They are indeed shameless.

Yeah, this is actually a good shout - especially if the top 6 continues to drift away from the chasing pack.

Yes, this is an excellent idea IMO. Wenger would be furious.

The division 2 play-offs were brillaint yesterday (the standard of football was terrible but the drama and individual errors made that irrelevant). I have a couple of friends who are Luton fans, so I have been trolling them solidly.

I didn't see it, but I believe one of the Luton players would be facing retrospective action if the new rules were in force. Justice would appear to have been done with Blackpool's late winner.

I actually think the benefit of that idea is also that two-bob teams like mine will feel that they have a hell of a lot more to play for if they just need to finish 6/7th to have a shot at a CL spot.

4th place trophy playoff would be fun but everything is ****ed if one of the playoff teams is playing in a cup final

maybe have the 4th place trophy playoff but force the clubs to send their ladies teams. arsenal ladies vs liverpool ladies with £50m + the right to compete in the champions league at stake, who wouldn't watch. this would massively boost interest in women's football and solve the fixture congestion problem. also make them play the 2nd half on roller skates

Don't like the idea of the play offs but they would be sick in and of themselves.

Yes, it was a clear dive. The keeper error and own goal that sent Blackpool through were glorious.

All promoted sides should be forced to play the last place EPL team and win to prove their promotion is improving the quality of the EPL.

Yep exactly. I mean, Spurs have been steamrolling teams for weeks in a way that would never happen before xmas when mid-table teams still have the threat of relegation.

I think at least half a dozen teams, and maybe more, would fancy their chances of at least grabbing 7th.

Palace might go off favourites at Old Trafford, currently 3.0.

Ah Mourinho's just said he's playing the youth team and Pogba, that explains it.
