They're literally the simplest odds in the world and are based on a $100 bet.

+450 = Bet $100 to win $450
-450 = Bet $450 to win $100

Cannot see what is difficult about that

Maybe it's just me being unfamiliar but I have no idea how to get from a + or - odds figure to its implied probability quickly. In decimal it's super easy.

Edit: just noticed that when I type "super", the first thing autocorrect suggests following up with is "busy". Love my phone

If you want to know in terms of payout surely fractional is the way to go since you multiply your stake and don't have to convert from the $100.

I know the answer, it was more of a rhetorical question. But if the odds are expressed as 9/2 surely it's even simpler - 70 x 9/2 = 315
