Imagine Boris and Trump hatching a plan together. Yeah, blows your mind, right?
06-25-2016 , 08:25 AM
and Putin! he's not got the hair, but me makes up for it with crazy.

My read is boris (and gove) are way way ahead of trump and boris has only hair colour in common.

I like the Brexit and I like Trump. That's all I'm gonna say.

boris and trump are similar only in their distinctively odd look

its like hitler and charlie chaplin. both had the silly mustache, but just one had fascist policies

and the other was primarily famous for buffoonery on camera

slightly different as all 32 councils in Scotland voted to stay. England was basically all leave.

Think that's what she will push for. Saying we wanted to stay in the EU but we also wanted to stay as part of the U.K.

If we're still going on about this brexit stuff, then one of the things it has done is made me realise some of my own biases.

I actually like the EU in general, but part of that is probably because I feel connected to and trust the lawyers/economists/social science types making the rules and handling the technocratic stuff (Ive also had a former job made substantially easier by the common market). If you dont have that connection i can see how you would feel a lack of representation and how the unelected aspect of it would make you furious and feel like you're ruled over without your consent. Like I think it's necessary for the common market and overall a very good thing, but had circumstances been slightly different it would have made me mad too.

I have less time for the anti-immigration part and blaming immigrants for the problems you have in your own life, but part of that is probably feeling pretty secure in life and connected to the rest of Europe. If youre feeling insecure and unrepresented, and is more tied up on the idea that this country belongs to me/us and your national identity then I can kinda get it I guess.

the flipside of that is probably that many leavers dont realise how much they feel like an attack for those of us that have studied with Erasmus students, have foreign colleagues/friends and consider the free movement a natural thing in life.

I thought royal blue comment was relatively fair btw...

So I went to the cinema just now to watch that Farage biopic and all I got was a terrible alien invasion film
06-25-2016 , 12:18 PM
sounds like you were in the right place then

Not really - you just voted for the party that has the policies that you like more than all the others. That some of those policies are dreadful or that you hated them is just part of politics.

Well it is an opinion that is shared by many hence an online petition for london independence actually exists (they'll be wanting to remove whole boroughs soon) - obviously royal blue wasn't being very being serious or might not actually share that opinion - although there is that toxic attitude which I think is a big part of the reason why we've ended up here. And maintaining that doesn't seem the smart play.

Yes, this seems fair and a unique situation with the referendum.

Seems a good fit

Top half of the table manager hair does seem to be the #1 prerequisite for employment..

Had completely missed this thread had started. Solid OP, another dream summer, and the cherry on top of an incoming managerial appointment.

The cynical ass.hole in me loves nothing more than watching the smuggish left self-righteously take a huge **** on the working class. Just delicious.

Apparently they consulted Wenger on this

It's done, 3 year deal. Villa consulted Wenger about Remi Garde as well didn't they?

The Fonz has aged well and is now Southampton manager? Well I never.
