Spurs have 4 games on the road, two at home. The two home games are MU and ARS

Chelsea has 4 home games and 2 road games.

Short of a Chelsea implosion, Spurs aren't getting there.

Included in our road games are:
- West Ham (which they're always up for [insert "their cup final" joke here])
- Palace (managed by Big Sam and still not safe)
- Hull (maybe still fighting for survival

I think about 20-1 or 25-1 seems about right. Even if we win out it's still only going to be enough like 70% of the time.

If Spurs win out, Chelsea have to win 5 of their remaining games - that's a tough ask considering how bad they were against Man Utd.

I guess @WBA and @Everton might be tough, can't see anything but a Chelsea win in the other 4. That said I couldn't see anything but a Chelsea win at home to Palace either.

Tbh I also don't see us winning out, while I think we're favourites in every single game left I suspect we don't win vs Man Utd >50% of the time, don't win vs Arsenal, at West Ham or Leicester like 40% of the time etc etc.

What are the chances of Spurs winning out though?

'Tis dale is the obvious burn, but, methinks the Seth Johnson shirt would be a case of the clap for him. And there's no penicillin around to cure him

Think Brighton just won promotion. They've come a long way from ground sharing in Kent and playing at dog tracks

Newcastle choke alert.

Long odds obviously, but then we have won our last 7 and only really looked like dropping points v Swansea.

I was really answering Gramuel's point that we only win the title 70% of the time when we win out - I think it's more favourable than that.

Yeah I had it in my head they only needed to win 4 games, my maths were apparently failing today. Too much Easter drinking.

Plymouth, Pompey also up to L1, Chezzy down from there, Orient somehow not down yet
04-17-2017 , 12:14 PM
Terry not coming back to Chelsea next season as per beeb

I for one, am shocked... SHOCKED!!

So there's a decent chance Wigan and Blackburn will drop and we'll be promoted?

hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng

FFS Leeds. Out of the play off places.

Or to put a positive spin on it..

If we get back in and make it into the top 6, it would mean we finished on a good run, which means we have momentum, which means we win the playoff.
04-17-2017 , 12:29 PM
I looked at the upcoming fixtures, game by game, and my initial assessment of 15-20% title chance for Spurs might be a skosh too high..maybe more like 10-12%.

Really little to zero chance we win out. After the big Chelsea FA semi we play at Palace, which I really don't think we win..I can see us losing or settling for a Draw.

Chelsea would have to drop several points in the stretch run and even then it would be a longhsot that we bink the league..

Cmon guys. if Chelsea play like they have on Sunday you have a great shot at this. Don't be so negative.

I do think Chelsea will win it tho, but tilts me how everyone is so rational and balanced. We need a Spurs fan who is the equivalent of NicReynolds for Plop

It's amazing what a small club can achieve with a chairman who is willing to invest a quarter of a billion pounds.

Of course, still a big change from nearly busto/out of the league regardless

Can't find the betting thread but LFCUSA settled our season bet for feedback purposes

Technically, Huddersfield and Newcastle can still catch them. So promotion is not yet official.
