Rose best fullback = best dressed man in Albania.

I doubt that's true btw as I just refuse to believe he's went from worst player in PL to best LB in a year. Not possible.

Not sure how many games you watched in the first half of the season for Spurs.

Rose was very important to the team. Just so good this year.

Don't give a toss if it's Fergie telling me Rose = best LB, I'm still not believing it.

Not exaggerating when I say he was one of the worst players I've seen in a quality team since Jonathan Greening.

would be pretty funny if Wenger manages to nick 4th yet again because Jose can't win any games

I had Rose as my PotY until his recent injury. He really was that good. The drop off since his injury to his replacement Davies is nearly as bad as Kane to Janssen.

Having said that, a lot of why he's good is the system we play, and Vertonghen, and Wanyama.

Although I'd hate to sell him, part of me would take £50m from City just to see how much he regresses in that side with Fraudiola as manager.

How do Plop have a higher wage bill than City?

The reason is that plop have the best LB in the world, aka James Milner whom is on £150k per week.

City had to reduce their wage bill after FFP sanctions. There's probably some creative accounting going on.

Hardly creative just UEFA forcing them to put money in from their own companies via sponsorships. Same thing happens at PSG.

That's different to what I was talking about.

They were sanctioned for breaking the FFP regulations in 2014 and had to cap their wage bill for two seasons. I was suggesting they used creative accounting to get around the wage cap.

Everyone knows that goes on and it's pretty transparent.

However, even from an account point of view, reducing player wages seems much trickier. Not to mention if it's anything underhand, they risk their players going to jail for tax evasion.

Coutinho out of today's game.

The way around that risk is to pay the excessive wages via a separate company so that they don't appear in their accounts and the players pay the right tax.

Fit. No idea what the side will be today but thinking a Moreno or TAA might start.

Amazing show of class from Benitez.
04-08-2017 , 06:25 AM
Coutinho spotted at the ground, whether he starts is another thing.

Wanyama effectively dropped then. Harsh, but a 2 with Dembele does highlight his limitations.

Not sure why Tripper gets the nod ahead of Walker. Happy to see Kane eased back in from the bench - we're obviously half-heartedly chasing Chelsea itl, but the cup semi is the bigger game for Spurs.

Lloris (C), Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Son, Eriksen, Dele, Janssen. #COYS

Subs: Lopez, Walker, Wimmer, Nkoudou, Sissoko, Wanyama, Kane. #COYS
