I think given those circumstances, it's a +ev decision to not insure.
Its one of those maths v lived human experience moments.

I could pay well above 4K for a bill, but would not want to, yes it would be ok to be saving the dogs life, but still 4K and potentially moah is something I would rather not spend on the vet and would feel like money burned.

A premium of less than £20 going out of my account each month is something I wont ever notice.

LOL @ insurance, especially pet insurance.

Season ticket for next year purchased, doing so on the basis that it's frozen until we get promoted more or less means we won't get promoted
03-27-2017 , 06:59 PM
How much are season tickets? I'd expect less than £300.
03-27-2017 , 07:02 PM
£330 give or take

Pretty steep. I am sure there are PL season tickets for around same price.

it's funny i met a kid over here in Korea from Bournemouth. I excitedly asked him how happy he was about their recent success and he was kinda meh on it because he couldn't afford tickets to games anymore.
Is that a common theme on smaller clubs that do well? I think bournemouth is kinda an exception because of how small their stadium is but idk obv.

It's not even fifteen quid a game so I don't think it's that bad

Yeah, Burnley's cheapest are the same price.

The cheapest ones at Bournemouth are £550

Think that their ground being so small has a lot to do with that.

In comparison, the cheapest for the other lot up the road is over £450, going up to £640 for their "best" seats. None of ours cost more than £430 for a new STH

Manchester United are prepared to meet Neymar's £173m release clause and are willing to pay the 25-year-old striker £416,000 per week if he joins them from Barcelona this summer. (Sport)

Looks like Neymar is getting a new contract at Barca soon

eurgh are we going to need a summer transfer thread?
03-28-2017 , 05:03 AM
Been paying £360 for last 4 years for every home league game, comes with added benefits of subsidised travel costs, access to home/away cup/euro tickets and all games v monkeys. Only used it 5/6 times this season, been super busy.

What happened to Jon Flanagan?

Looks like our Plop posters were right in the summer when they said he wouldn't be good enough for Burnley. Disappointing as I thought he was going to be a good signing for us. Although on the positive side, it's because Ward and Lowton have been so good that he's been unable to break into the team.

Man U are not good enough for Neymar.

Spurs/Chelsea on the other hand.

Bit too early methinks.

but the absurd Neymar/Bale/Lewa to United rumours have started. That's usually the starting pistol.

I say we wait until United are mathematically eliminated from top 4 contention, that's when those ridiculous rumours will really start to pick up anyway.

Lallana injured on England duty (again) so out for a month. Really big blow to us that.

It's probably Roy Hodgson's fault.

Apart from the glorious ball he put in for Barnes's goal at Anfield, crossing has probably been the weakest part of his game this season. He's been really good defensively though.
