For me personally, my dog has a good diet and gets lots of exercise. She came from a good breeder, reducing the risk of congenital defects. Plus, I'm not risk averse, and could cover an unexpected vet bill with my savings.
I think given those circumstances, it's a +ev decision to not insure.
Its one of those maths v lived human experience moments.
I could pay well above 4K for a bill, but would not want to, yes it would be ok to be saving the dogs life, but still 4K and potentially moah is something I would rather not spend on the vet and would feel like money burned.
A premium of less than £20 going out of my account each month is something I wont ever notice.
